What is happening?

North Yorkshire Council, Temporary Prohibition of Traffic, Ashgarth Way & Ashgarth Court, Harrogate, Order 2024, No. 217

We have made this Order to prohibit any vehicle from using Ashgarth Way & Ashgarth Court, Harrogate for a temporary period (subject to access to premises) between 08/07/24 & 22/07/24, due to Footway Slurry Sealing works. However, the max duration of this Order will be until 08/12/24. The closure period will be indicated by traffic signs & a local alternative route will be signed on site where appropriate. 50 Mph Speed Limit, A61 Ripon Road, Ripon To Ripley, Order 2024 Notice is hereby given that The North Yorkshire Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 84(1) & (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & Part IV of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, the effect of which will be to prohibit any motor vehicle from travelling at a speed in excess of 50 mph on the lengths of road specified:- A61 Ripon Road, 80 metres from the highway boundary to the access road to Hood Hole in a southerly direction for a distance of 2336 metres to a point 130 metres north of the highway boundary of the C378 to Burton Leonard. A61 Ripon Road, 340 metres south of the southern highway boundary of the C375 at Wormald Green in a southerly then westerly direction for a distance of 5402 metres to the northerly highway boundary of the B6165 / Main Street (U2796) Ripley Roundabout. A copy of the draft Order, together with a map showing the roads affected and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected at County Hall, Northallerton & at Ripon Library, The Arcade, Ripon, HG4 1AG during normal office hours from 04/07/24 until 26/07/24 & also viewed online at

Temporary Prohibition of Pedestrians, Cyclists & Horse Traffic, Public Bridleway 15.80/4/1 & 15.100/5/1, North Deighton, Order 2024 No 34 Notice is hereby given that the above Order, the effect of which is to prohibit any public access along Public Bridleways 15.80/4/1 & 15.100/5/1 in the Parish of North Deighton between grid reference SE39005316 & SE40865264 due to an unsafe bridge has been continued in force for a further 12 months until 07/07/25 or until the completion of the works (whichever is the earlier), under Section 15(3) of the above Act with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport.
