NOTICE OF TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC – ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – Hassall Road, Alsager

Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers proposes to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic.

Prohibition of traffic – Hassall Road, Alsager – From the junction of Chancery Lane to the junction of Dunnocksfold Road.

The alternative route will be via Hassall Road, Church Road, Chancery Lane and vice versa which is considered the most suitable route.

This order will come into operation on Wednesday 24 July 2024 and will continue in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Friday 30 August 2024.

NOTICE OF TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC – ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – Various Roads In Crewe

Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers has made an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic.

Prohibition of traffic – Roundabout A500 Cheerbrook, Stapeley and District – For the full extent.

Over Road, Church Minshull – For the full extent.

Paradise Lane, Church Minshull – For the full extent.

Lee Green Lane, Church Minshull – For the full extent.

This order will come into operation on Friday 5 July 2024 and will continue in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Monday 30 September 2024.

NOTICE OF TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC – ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – Mill Lane, Haslington

Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers has made an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic.

Prohibition of traffic – Mill Lane, Haslington – From the junction of Butterton Lane to outside Mill Lane Cottage.

The alternative route will be via Butterton Lane, Barthomley Road, Mill Lane and vice versa which is considered the most suitable route.

This order will come into operation on Tuesday 16 July 2024 and will continue in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Tuesday 15 July 2025.

NOTICE OF TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC – ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – Various Roads in Wistaston

Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers has made an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic.

Prohibition of traffic – Crewe Road, Wistaston – From the junction with The Poplars to the junction with Friars Close.

Brookland Avenue, Wistaston – From the junction with Crewe Road to the junction with Nessina Grove.

Rope Lane, Wistaston – From the junction with Crewe Road to the junction with Wellswood Drive.

Springfield Drive, Wistaston – From the junction with Rope Lane to the junction with Laburnum Court.

Alternative route 1 will be via Crewe Road, Nantwich Road, Nantwich Road Roundabout, Weston Road, Savoy Road Weston Road Roundabout, David Whitby Way, David Whitby Way Roundabout, Crewe Green Link Roundabout, Shavington Bypass, Shavington Bypass Roundabout, Roundabout A500 Cheerbrook, Nantwich Bypass and vice versa which is considered the most suitable route.

Alternative route 2 will be via Park Drive, Church Lane, Crewe Road and vice versa which is considered the most suitable route.

Alternative route 3 Rope Lane, Main Road, Newcastle Road, Roundabout A500 Cheerbrook, Nantwich Bypass, Nantwich Road Roundabout, Crewe Road and vice versa which is considered the most suitable route.

This order will come into operation on Thursday 25 July 2024 and will continue in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Thursday 29 August 2024.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF PEDESTRIANS Public Footpath No. 20 in the Parish of Crewe and Public Footpath No 3 And 6 in the Parish of Leighton

Notice is hereby given that the Secretary of State for Transport in pursuance of the powers conferred upon him by section 15 (5) of the aforementioned Act has approved the Order effective from the 23 May 2022 being extended and continuing in force until the 1 September 2024. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit pedestrians on part of the following Public Right of Way:

That length of Footpath No. 20 in the Parish of Crewe which commences at SJ 6877 5723 and runs in a generally westerly direction for approximately 450m to SJ 6835 5712.

That length of Footpath No. 6 in the Parish of Leighton which commences at SJ 6835 5712 and runs in a generally northerly direction for approximately 363m to SJ 6826 5747.

That length of Footpath No. 3 in the Parish of Leighton which commences at SJ 6844 5747 and runs in a generally easterly direction for approximately 66m to SJ 6851 5747.

The closure is necessary to protect the public from danger while works are taking place on or near the footpaths.

An alternative route is available on site for Footpath No 3 in the Parish of Leighton.
