What is happening?
THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE
COUNCIL (ESTCOURT TERRACE AND STANLEY STREET, GOOLE (PARTS))
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order
the effect of which is to prohibit any person from
causing any vehicle to proceed along part of Estcourt Terrace between the junction of Estcourt Street and the junction of Stanley Street and part
of Stanley Street, Goole between the junction of Estcourt Terrace and the junction of Government Street between 21.00 hours until 23.59 hours.
The reason for the closure is to enable the return
of ballot boxes for the UK Parliamentary General
Election count taking place at Market Hall, Goole to be carried out and completed in a manner
consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. It is anticipated that the works will be completed within three hours. The alternative route for traffic affected by the Order is via Estcourt Street,
Burlington Crescent and Stanley Street. The road will be open at all times to pedestrians and for
vehicular access to properties directly affected by the closure and for emergency services. The Order will commence 4 July 2024 and continue in force for a period not exceeding 18 months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
