COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC
REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC SELBY ROAD LEVEL CROSSING, SNAITH
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from
proceeding over Selby Road Level Crossing, Snaith during the following period Monday 22 July 2024 at 22.30 hours until 05.30 hours on Tuesday 23 July 2024. The road closure is necessary to enable annual level crossing maintenance works to be
carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the
safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will be completed within seven hours. The alternative route for traffic affected by the road closure will be via Selby Road, Shearburn Terrace, Pontefract Road, Gowdall Broach, Broach Road, Broach Lane,
Weeland Road, Eggborough Bypass, Eggborough Bypass to Chapel Haddlesey, Chapel Haddlesey to Burn, Main Road, Doncaster Road, Selby Bypass, Bawtry Road, Camblesforth Road, Brigg Lane, Station Road, High Street, River Aire to Carlton.
The diversion route will be signed at the time of closure. The road will be closed to all traffic.
