The Scottish Borders Council (D173/6 Crichness Law and D172/6 Long Cleugh)

(Temporary Closing) No 2 Order 2024 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 08:00 on 8 July 2024 and is expected to remain in effect until 17:00 on 12 July 2024 – 24 hour closure. The Order is required for BT Openreach works.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the D173/6 at Crichness Law and the D172/6 at Long Cleugh north of Longformacus.

The alternative route for southbound traffic is via the D172/6, D198/1, C126, C127, D195/1, D192/1, C128, B6370 and B6355 to the point of closure, for northbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.
