Whitehaven, Temporary Traffic Restrictions Due To Utility Works

What is happening?

CUMBERLAND COUNCIL (FELL VIEW AVENUE AND WINDERMERE ROAD WOODHOUSE, WHITEHAVEN) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out ("the Works"), Cumberland Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the following sections of road:

1. Fell View Avenue Woodhouse, Whitehaven from its junction with Woodhouse Road, extending in a north westerly direction for approx 230m.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted section of Fell View Avenue, Loweswater Avenue and Woodhouse Road.

Duration: From 22 July 2024 for approx. 1 week (Ref: TTROC/11295)

2. Windermere Road Woodhouse, Whitehaven from a point approx. 40m south of its junction with Woodhouse Road, extending in a southerly direction for approx. 115m.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of Windermere Road, Fleswick Avenue and Woodhouse Road.

Duration: From 29 July 2024 for approx. 1 week (Ref: TTROC/11296)

A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.

The Order will come into operation on 22 July 2024 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as detailed above, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
