THE LEICESTER (KENT STREET) (TEMPORARY) TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicester City Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be, for the following anticipated period of time to:

Prohibit the movement of all vehicles and prohibit waiting and loading at any time on Kent Street between its junctions with Maidstone Road and with Humberstone Road from 6.00pm on Monday 8th July 2024 until 6.00am on Tuesday 16th July 2024.

Diversion route: Humberstone Road, St Georges Way, Swain Street, Maidstone Road.

Prohibit the movement of all vehicles and prohibit waiting and loading at any time on Melbourne Street between its junctions with Kent Street and with Maynard Road from 6.00pm on Monday 8th July 2024 until 6.00am on Tuesday 16th July 2024.

Prohibit the movement of all vehicles and prohibit waiting and loading at any time on Maidstone Road between its junctions with Kent Street and with Beal Street from 6.00pm on Monday 8th July 2024 until 6.00am on Tuesday 16th July 2024.

Suspend existing one-way restriction on Maidstone Road between its junctions with Beal Street and with Berners Street from 6.00pm on Monday 8th July 2024 until 6.00am on Tuesday 16th July 2024.

Prohibit the movement of all vehicles and prohibit waiting and loading at any time on Murray Street between its junction with Kent Street and a point 40 metres south thereof from 6.00pm on Monday 8th July 2024 until 6.00am on Tuesday 16th July 2024.

Prohibit the movement of all vehicles and prohibit waiting and loading at any time on Graham Street between its junction with Kent Street and a point 30 metres north thereof from 6.00pm on Monday 8th July 2024 until 6.00am on Tuesday 16th July 2024.

Prohibit the movement of all vehicles and prohibit waiting and loading at any time on Sussex Street between its junction with Kent Street and a point 30 metres south thereof from 6.00pm on Monday 8th July 2024 until 6.00am on Tuesday 16th July 2024.

Prohibit waiting and loading at any time on Humberstone Road between its junctions with Sheldon Street and with Bell Lane from 6.00pm on Monday 8th July 2024 until 6.00am on Tuesday 16th July 2024.

This order is necessary due to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works taking place and to prevent the likelihood of danger to the public.

This Order will come into effect on the 8th July 2024 and will continue in force for up to 18 months, or until the order is no longer deemed necessary, whichever is the earlier.

Emergency access will be maintained at all times.
