Montague Road - Temporary Restrictions Due To An Experimental Closure

THE LEICESTER (MONTAGUE ROAD) (TEMPORARY) TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicester City Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be, for the following anticipated period of time to:

Prohibit the movement of all vehicles and prohibit waiting and loading at any time on Montague Road between its junctions with Queens Road and with Edward Road from 7.00am on Monday 8th July 2024 until 5.00pm on Sunday 21st July 2024.

Diversion route: Montague Road, Oxford Road, Howard Road, Queens Road.

Prohibit the movement of vehicles in an eastbound direction on Montague Road between its junctions with Edward Road and with Seymour Road from 7.00am on Monday 8th July 2024 until 5.00pm on Sunday 21st July 2024.

Prohibit waiting and loading at any time on Montague Road between its junction with Edward Road and a point 10 metres west thereof from 7.00am on Monday 8th July 2024 until 5.00pm on Sunday 21st July 2024.

This order is necessary due to an experimental closure taking place and to prevent the likelihood of danger to the public.

This Order will come into effect on the 8th July 2024 and will continue in force for up to 18 months, or until the order is no longer deemed necessary, whichever is the earlier.
Emergency access will be maintained at all times.
