(HEOL Y NANT, RHOS) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).
NOTICE is hereby given that Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council intend in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).
The effect of the Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from driving on the length of road set out in the Schedule below whilst the Order is in force.
During such periods as are indicated by traffic signs informing the public that the road is closed.
The Order is necessary to enable Openreach to undertake civil engineering works in the highway and for the Highway Authority to carry out subsequent Highway works in the road.
The Order will come into force on the 15th July 2024 and shall continue in force for a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is the sooner. It is estimated the work will take 1 day to complete.
SCHEDULE
Heol Y Nant will be closed from the junction of A474 Neath Road in a southerly direction for approximately 70m along its length.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the unaffected section of Heol Y Nant, Delffordd and Neath Road.
Access for pedestrian and emergency vehicles will be maintained.
