What is happening?

BOURNEMOUTH, CHRISTCHURCH AND POOLE COUNCIL

DURLEY ROAD AND ASSOC. ROADS, BOURNEMOUTH - HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT WORKS TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2024 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended and the Traffic Management Act 2004, has made temporary traffic regulations, with the effects detailed below, to control traffic.

WHAT, WHERE AND WHEN:

The following will be closed to all vehicles with no parking - no waiting at any time and no loading/ unloading at any time -

* Hahnemann Road/Durley Road junction - from 8th July 2024 until 19th July 2024

* Commercial Road/Durley Road junction - from 22nd July 2024 until 30th August 2024

* Commercial Road/West Hill Road junction - from 22nd July 2024 until 30th August 2024

* Somerville Road/Durley Road junction - from 5th August 2024 until 16th August 2024

* Durley Chine Road, from St. Michael's roundabout to the junction of Marlborough Road - 30th August 2024

* Marlborough Road - adjacent to the Clarendon Road junctions - from 2nd September 2024 until 13th September 2024

* Clarendon Road - north and south junctions with Marlborough Road - from 9th September 2024 until 20th September 2024

* West Hill Road, phased closures between Poole Hill and West Cliff Road - from 23rd September 2024 until 27th September 2024

Somerville Road (entire length/both sides) - no parking - no waiting at any time and no loading/unloading at any time - from 22nd July 2024 until 30th August 2024

Somerville Road (entire length) - suspension of one-way traffic order to allow for access - from 5th August 2024 until 16th August 2024

WHY: To enable Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council to carry out highway improvement works

ACCESS: Full emergency services access will be maintained, access to properties will remain depending on site safety. DIVERSION: Via signed routes

VIEW AT: https://one.network/?tm=139031633 These arrangements may be amended/extended should works overrun or weather conditions delay operations. Restrictions may be in effect under this Order for up to 18 months, and could be further extended with the approval of the Secretary of State.

The Council regrets any inconvenience to the public caused by this traffic order.
