What is happening?

THE LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(PART OF PUBLIC FOOTPATH FP0605005 GOOSNARGH, PRESTON CITY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lancashire County Council intend to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is to prohibit temporarily all traffic from proceeding over the Public Footpath indicated below:-

That part of Public FootpathFP0605005 Goosnargh, Preston from the junction of FP0609007 Whittingham, FP0605003 & FP0605004 Goosnargh, Preston, at Point A (SD 5517 – 3679) in a generally easterly direction for approximately 150 metres to Point B (SD 5528 – 3680).

The closure is necessary whilst works are carried out on or near the footpath.

Access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the footpath, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from, the footpath, will be maintained at all times.

Nothing in the order shall apply to emergency service vehicles or to those undertaking the works

The Order will be operative from the 14th July, 2024, for a period of 6 months or until the works are completed within this period.
