Millennium Way - Temporary Speed Restriction
What is happening?
THE LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(A674 MILLENNIUM WAY,CHORLEY, CHORLEY BOROUGH)
(TEMPORARY SPEED RESTRICTION) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lancashire County Council have made an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit any person to cause or permit any motor vehicle or cycle from proceeding at a speed exceeding the stated temporary speed restriction over the following lengths of highway in the Borough of Chorley:-
1. To temporarily prohibit any motor vehicle or cycle from travelling at a speed exceeding 30MPH on that length of A674 Millennium Way, Chorley from a point 40 metres east of its junction with Access To Botany Bay for a distance of 250 metres in a westerly direction.
2. No speed limit imposed by this order applies to vehicles falling within regulation 3(4) of the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011 when used in accordance with regulation 3(5) of those Regulations
3. The prohibition will be operative from 0800 hours on Monday 1st July 2024 until 1700 hours on Friday 5th July 2024. Or until completion of the works within this period.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow the safe undertaking of utility works.
