(TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF MANDATORY CYCLE LANE) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council intend to make an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit cyclists on the roads set out in this notice.
1. No person shall cause any cycle to proceed over that length of Liverpool Road, Penwortham (westbound carriageway only). from a point 5 metres south of its centreline to its most southerly carriageway boundary from its junction with Brandwood for a distance of 34 metres in a easterly direction.
2. Nothing in this order shall apply to persons engaged in the carrying out of the works.
3. The prohibition will be operative from 0800 hours on Tuesday 16th July 2024 until 1700 hours on Thursday 18th July 2024 or until completion of the works within this period.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow a safe working space for utility works to be carried out.
