Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
TUNBRIDGE WELLS AREA
B2160 MAIDSTONE ROAD & B2160 GEDGES HILL, PADDOCK WOOD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow water main replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2160 Maidstone Road & B2160 Gedges Hill, Paddock Wood, on or after 23rd July 2024 for up to 44 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junction of Chantlers Hill and Lymons Bank Farm, between the hours of 07:00 to 19:00 on weekdays and 08:00 to 16:00 on Saturdays. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2160 Gedges Hill, B2160 Maidstone Road, A21 Hastings Road, A21 Pembury Bypass, A21 Exit to A228 Pembury Road, A228 Pembury Road, A228 Pembury Northern Bypass, A228 Maidstone Road, A228 Colts Hill, B2017 Badsell Road, B2160 Maidstone Road and vice versa.
BIDDENDEN ROAD, FRITTENDEN, TN27 8LQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow new water connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Biddenden Road, Frittenden, on or after 8th July 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Buckhurst. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Biddenden Road, The Street, Cranbrook Road, Dig Dog Lane, Hareplain Road, Buckhurst Lane and vice versa.
CASTLE STREET, SOUTHBOROUGH, TN4 0SQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow new meter installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Castle Street, Southborough, on or after 22nd July 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Hawthorn Cottage. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Castle Street, Sheffield Road, A26 London Road, Pennington Road and vice versa.
CHANTLERS HILL, PADDOCK WOOD, TN12 6NA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow water main replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Chantlers Hill, Paddock Wood, on or after 23rd July 2024 for up to 44 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between Wellstreade Cottage and the junction of Gedges Hill, between the hours of 07:00 to 19:00 on weekdays and 08:00 to 16:00 on Saturdays. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

CLAYHILL ROAD, LAMBERHURST, TN3 8LS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow frame and cover repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Clayhill Road, Lamberhurst, on or after 22nd July 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction of Mount Pleasant. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Clayhill Road, A21 Lamberhurst Quarter, A21 Lamberhurst By-pass, B2162 Horsmonden Road, B2162 School Hill, B2162 The Broadway, B2100 High Street, B2100 Town Hill, B2100 The Slade, B2169 The Down, B2169 Furnace Lane, Clayhill Road and vice versa.
GILLS GREEN, CRANBROOK (30MPH SPEED REDUCTION) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow new electric connection works to take place a temporary 30mph speed limit will be imposed, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily restrict through traffic on part of Gills Green, Cranbrook, on or after 8th July 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be restricted to 30mph from the junction of Yew Tree Lane to outside Gill’s Courtyard. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
HALF MOON LANE, TUDELEY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow ducting works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Half Moon Lane, Tudeley, on or after 9th July 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Dislingbury Farm, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Amhurst Bank Road, Redwings Lane, Old Church Road, Pembury Hall Road, Half Moon Lane and vice versa.
HARMONY STREET, RUSTHALL, TN4 8NU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Harmony Street, Rusthall, on or after 25th July 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction of Woodside Road to The Toad Rock Retreat, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Harmony Street, Rusthall Road, Bretland Road, Grange Road and vice versa.
MAJOR YORKS ROAD, ROYAL TUNBRIDGE WELLS, TN2 5SA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow drainage improvement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Major Yorks Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 22nd July 2024 for up to 54 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction of Hungershall Park and A26 Eridge Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
A prohibition of parking will be in place on Major Yorks Road from the junction of Hungershall Park and A26 Eridge Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Major Yorks Road, A264 Bishops Down, A264 Mount Ephraim, A264 Church Road, A26 London Road, A26 Eridge Road and vice versa.
MARYLAND ROAD, DUNCALF ROAD & FOREST WAY, HAWKENBURY, TN2 5HJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow remedial works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Maryland Road, Duncalf Road & Forest Way, Hawkenbury, on or after 9th July 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junctions of Duncalf Road and Forest Way onto Maryland Road, between the hours of 07:30 and 17:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic on Duncalf Road is via Duncalf Road, Hawkenbury Road, Maryland Road and vice versa.
The alternative route for any through traffic on Maryland Road and Forest Way is via Maryland Road, Hawkenbury Road, Forest Road, Forest Way, Lambourn Way and vice versa.
TRENLEY LANE, HAWKHURST, TN18 5AJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow new electric connection to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Trenley Lane, Hawkhurst, on or after 8th July 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Trenley Farm, between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Trenley Lane, Slip Mill Lane, A229 Hawkhurst Road, Park Lane, Trenley Lane and vice versa.
WATERMANS LANE, PADDOCK WOOD, TN12 6LT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow water main replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Watermans Lane, Paddock Wood, on or after 23rd July 2024 for up to 44 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the junction of Chantlers Hill. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Chantlers Hill, Mascalls Court Road, Mascalls Court Lane, Mile Oak Road, Watermans Lane and vice versa.
