What is happening?

North Yorkshire Council,

Temporary 20 Mph Speed Restriction, Raw Bank - Arkle Town, Arkengarthdale, Order 2024 No 196.

We have made this Order that will prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in excess of 20 Mph along that part of the road which extends from a point approximately 100 metres north of its junction with the side road to the east in Arkle Town southwards (via the temporary bypass route to the west of the road) to a point approximately 200 metres south of its junction with the side road to the east in Arkle Town (measured along the original road) due to Highway Maintenance works. It is envisaged that the restriction will be in force from 01 /08/24 until 01/03/25 inclusive however the maximum duration of this Order will be from 01/0724 until 30/11/25. The restriction will be put into effect by notices and signs. During such time as the Temporary Speed Limit is in place then the terms of the following Traffic Regulation Order will need to be suspended insofar as they relate to the section of road with the Temporary Speed Limit: 'North Yorkshire County Council (Restricted Roads) Langthwaite & Arkle Town, Arkengarthdale Order 2004. Temporary Prohibition of Traffic, Raw Bank - Arkle Town, Arkengarthdale, Order 2024 No 197.

We have has made this Order to prohibit any vehicle from using the section of road which extends from its junction with the side road to the east in Arkle Town southwards for an approximate distance of 175 metres (over 'Foregill Bridge') due to Highway Maintenance works. It is envisaged that the restriction will be in force from 01/08/24 until 01/03/25 inclusive however the maximum duration of this Order will be from 01/07/24 until 30/11/25. The closure period will only apply as indicated by the placing of traffic signs and a local alternative route will also be signed on site where appropriate. Temporary Prohibition of Traffic, Harker Hill, Gayle, Order 2024 No 202. We have made this Order to prohibit any vehicle from using Harker Hill, Gayle due to Northern Powergrid works to provide a new electric connection. It is envisaged that the restriction will be in force from 01/08/24 until 09/27/24 inclusive, however the maximum duration of this Order will be from 01/0724 until 31/12/24. The closure period will only apply as indicated by the placing of traffic signs and a local alternative route will also be signed on site where appropriate. Temporary Prohibition of Traffic, Arkengarthdale Road, Langthwaite, Order 2024 No 207.

We have made this Order to prohibit any vehicle from using various roads in Area 1 Richmond as detailed below due to surfacing works. It is envisaged that the restriction will be in force from 01/07/24 until 08/10/24 inclusive, however the maximum duration of this Order will be for 01 /07/24 until 31 /12/24. The closure period will only apply as indicated by the placing of traffic signs and a local alternative route will also be signed on site where appropriate. We have made this Order to prohibit any vehicle from using various roads in Richmond as detailed below due to surfacing works. It is envisaged that the restriction will be in force from 01/07/24 until 08/10/24 inclusive, however the maximum duration of this Order will be for 01/07/24 until 31/12/24. The closure period will only apply as indicated by the placing of traffic signs and a local alternative route will also be signed on site where appropriate. We have made this Order to prohibit any vehicle from using Richmond Road and Darlington Road, Skeeby due to surfacing works. It is envisaged that the restriction will be in force from 01/07/24 until 02/08/24 inclusive. The closure period will only apply as indicated by the placing of traffic signs and a local alternative route will also be signed on site where appropriate. Prohibition Of Waiting and Loading and Provision of Parking, Amendment No 41 Order 2024.

Notice is hereby given that on 21/06/24 The North Yorkshire Council made an Order under Sections 1 (1), 2(1) to (3), 4(2), 32(1) & 35(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act and under the Traffic Management Act 2004, the effect of which is to amend "North Yorkshire County Council Prohibition of Waiting and Loading and Provision of Parking District of Hambleton Consolidation Order 2013" by introducing the restrictions specified in the table: Schedule 1, Waiting Prohibited At All Times With Exemptions. Easingwold, Long Street, North/West side, 28 metres Northwest of the centre line of the junction with Chase Garth Road, 49 metres Northwest of the centre line of the junction with Chase Garth Road, Waiting Prohibited at All Times, with Exemptions. A copy of the Order, which comes into operation on 30/06/24, together with a map showing the roads affected may be examined at County Hall, Northallerton and at Easingwold Community Library, Market Place, Easingwold, York Y061 3AN during normal office hours from 28/06/24 to 02/08/24 and also viewed online at www.northyorks.gov.uk/roadworks-map or www.northyorks.gov.uk/traffic-regulation-orders. If you wish to question the validity of the above Order or of any provision contained in it, on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act, or of any Instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within 6 weeks of 21 /06/24 make application to the High Court for the purpose.

Prohibition of Waiting and Loading and Provision of Parking, Amendment No 40 Order 2024.

30 Mph Speed Limit Various Roads, Barton Order 2024.

Notice is hereby given that The North Yorkshire Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 84(1) & (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, the effect of which will be to prohibit any motor vehicle from travelling at a speed in excess of 30 miles per hour on any length of road at Barton specified below:-1, Silver Street, Barton, From a point 41 metres south west of its junction with the easternmost kerb line of its junction with the westernmost leg of Melrose Lane, measured along the northern kerb line, north eastwards to a point 81 metres north east of its junction with the centre line of St Cuthbert's Green measured along the northern kerb line. 2, Church Lane, Barton, From its junction with Silver Street north westwards to a point 49 metres north west of its junction with the centre line of Church Meadows, measured along the eastern kerb line. 3, Marygate, Barton, From its junction with Silver Street south eastwards to a point 10 metres south east of its junction with the southernmost side of Wells Lane, measured along the eastern kerb line. 4, The Porch, Barton, In its entirety, 5, Wells Lane, Barton, In its entirety. 6, Kettle End, Barton, In its entirety. 7, East View, Barton, In its entirety.
