Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984,
makes or intends to make the following Orders.
ASHFORD AREA
B2067 WOODCHURCH ROAD, TENTERDEN, TN30 6RY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JULY 2024
To allow gas main replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of B2067 Woodchurch Road, Tenterden, on or after 22nd July 2024, with estimated completion by 28th August 2024, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junction with Knockwood Road and the junction with B2080 Beacon Oak Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via B2080 Appledore Road, B2080 Reading Street, B2080 Tenterden Road, B2080 The Street, B2080 Station Road, Rhee Wall Road, Brenzett Corner Roundabout, B2080 Rhee Wall, A259 J A2070/B2080 Roundabout, Rhee Wall Roundabout, A2070 Rhee Wall To Ashford Road, A2070 From J A2070/B2080 Roundabout To J A2042, A2070 From Ashford Road To District Boundary, B2067 Ashford Road, Hamstreet Bypass, Ashford Road Junction With Bypass Link Road To Hamstreet, B2067 Warehorne Road, B2076 Kenardington Road, D1305 11 Acre Wood Lane Junction With B2067 To D1291 Junction With D1305 11 Acre Wood Lane, B2067 Brook Street, B2067 Woodchurch Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
BROMLEY GREEN ROAD, RUCKINGE, TN26 1NW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JULY 2024
To allow installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Bromley Green Road, Ruckinge, on or after 8th July 2024, for up to 3 days, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of ‘Avoca’, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Bromley Green Road, Hamstreet Road, Capel Road, Bromley Green Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
CRANBROOK ROAD, TENTERDEN, TN30 6UH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JULY 2024
To allow repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Cranbrook Road, Tenterden, on or after 22nd July 2024, for up to 5 days, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of 1 Hurst Close, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via A28 Rolvenden Road, A28 Rolvenden Hill, A28 Tenterden Road, B2086 Regent Street, B2086 Benenden Road, B2067 The Street, New Pond Road, Goddards Green Road, Cranbrook Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
NEWTOWN ROAD, ASHFORD, TN24 0DQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JULY 2024
To allow electrical connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Newtown Road, Ashford, on or after 22nd July 2024, with estimated completion by 5th September 2024, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction with Romney Marsh Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Newtown Road, Romney Marsh Road, Kimberley Way, Romney Marsh Road Roundabout, A2042 Bad Munstereifel Road, A2070 J A2042 Join S, Bad Munstereifel Slip East Bound Off, Bad Munstereifel Slip East Bound On, A2070 From J A2042 To M20 J10 Roundabout N, The Boulevard, Crowbridge Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
OLD SURRENDEN MANOR ROAD, BETHERSDEN, TN26 3DF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JULY 2024
To allow maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Old Surrenden Manor Road, Bethersden, on or after 9th July 2024, for up to 4 days, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Water Farm, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Mill Road, Forge Hill, A28 Ashford Road, Old Surrenden Manor Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
PILGRIMS LANE, CHILHAM, CT4 8AA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JULY 2024
To allow new connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Pilgrims Lane, Chilham, on or after 10th July 2024, for up to 3 days, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of The Chantry House, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Shalmsford Road, A28 Canterbury Road, Bowerland Lane and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
SHADOXHURST ROAD, WOODCHURCH, TN26 3PN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JULY 2024
To allow tree cutting works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Shadoxhurst Road, Woodchurch, on or after 22nd July 2024, for up to one day, between the hours of 08.00 and 18.00, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Hengherst Farm, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Shadoxhurst Road, Bethersden Road, Plurenden Road, Shadoxhurst Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
SOLE STREET, CRUNDALE. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JULY 2024
To allow maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Sole Street, Crundale, on or after 23rd July 2024, for up to 3 days, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Ripple Farm Barn, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Olantigh Road, Longport, Denwood Street, D1348 Sole St Junction With D1351 Church Lane To D1349 Sole Street Junction With D1352 Church Lane, Sole Street and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
ST JOHNS LANE, ASHFORD, TN24 8PB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JULY 2024
To allow new electrical connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of St Johns Lane, Ashford, on or after 28th July 2024, for up to one day, between the hours of 08.00 and 16.00, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction with Station Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route for this closure, however, residential and emergency access will be maintained at all times when it is safe to so do.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
THE RIDGEWAY, SMEETH, TN25 6SB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JULY 2024
To allow maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of The Ridgeway, Smeeth, on or after 24th July 2024, for up to 3 days, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of ‘Peelers’, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via The Ridgeway, Church Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
WESTERN AVENUE, ASHFORD, TN23 1NZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JULY 2024
To allow gas main replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Western Avenue, Ashford, on or after 24th July 2024, with estimated completion by 30th August 2024, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between St Marys C of E Primary School and number 40, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route for this closure, however, residential and emergency access will be maintained at all times when it is safe to do so.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
WORTEN ROAD, GREAT CHART, TN23 3BX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JULY 2024
To allow drainage jetting works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Worten Road, Great Chart, on or after 28th July 2024, for up to one day, between the hours of 06.00 and 18.00, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of the bridge, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Etchden Road, Fridd Lane, Bethersden Road, The Street, Park Drive, Water Fall Road, Godinton Lane, Worten Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
