(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Clearway) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) and 22(c) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close the following lengths of road in the Borough of Colchester:

Road: Abbeyfield View (Both junctions), Colchester

Description: From Circular Road South, south for approximately 50 metres.

Road: Berechurch Road, Colchester

Description: From Circular Road South, north east for approximately 80 metres to Circular Road East.

Road: Circular Road East, Colchester

Description: i. From Berechurch Road, north for approximately 272 metres.

ii. From Circular Road North/Flagstaff Road/Napier Road, south east for approximately 196 metres.

Road: Circular Road North, Colchester

Description: From Napier Road & Flagstaff Road, west for approximately 705 metres to Circular Road West.

Road: Circular Road South, Colchester

Description: From Berechurch Road, west for approximately 677 metres to Circular Road West.

Road: Circular Road West, Colchester

Description: i. From Circular Road North, north for approximately 205 metres to Butt Road.

ii. From Butt Road, south for approximately 520 metres to Circular Road South.

Road: Goojerat Road, Colchester

Description: From Circular Road west, west for approximately 195 metres to Kensington Road.

Road: Richmond Road, Colchester

Description: From Circular Road West, west for approximately 50 metres.

Road: Stable Road, Colchester

Description: From Circular Road North, north west for approximately 70 metres.

Road: Ypres Road, Colchester

Description: From Circular Road South, south for approximately 50 metres.

2. A temporary 'No Stopping' restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above lengths of roads for the duration of the closure to facilitate the event. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Stopping restriction will be in force. The Essex County Council (Colchester Borough) (Waiting Restriction) (Consolidation) Order 2008 will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Stopping at Any Time' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.

The temporary stopping restrictions are scheduled to commence, 8am on 28 June 2024 to 8pm on 29 June 2024 and the closures are scheduled to commence on 29 June 2024 between the hours of 8am to 8pm and are required for public safety while the 16 Air assault brigade and Colchester Garrison Show 2024 takes place.

Resident egress will be accommodated from Ypres Road and Abbeyfield view to be controlled by a marshal/steward; however, no vehicle re-entry will be accommodated whist road is physically closed.

Resident vehicle and pedestrian egress and Ingress will be accommodated into Cavalry Road estate by opening (with consent of developer tbc) access gate that opened onto Circular Road West 50 metres south of junction with Butt Road.

The Order will come into effect 28 June 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the event has been completed.

(Fingringhoe Road, Colchester/Rowhedge)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Fingringhoe Road, Colchester/ Rowhedge in the City of Colchester, from the junction of Speedwell Road to the junction of Weir Road a distance of approximately 1180m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 25th July 2024 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2365166 & EP201EH2365166A - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while drainage defect repairs works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Fingringhoe Road, Rowhedge Road, Chapel Road, Abberton Road, Mersea Road, Blackheath, St Botolphs Circus, Magdalen Street, Military Road, Old Heath Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 4th July 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Kelvedon Road, Tiptree)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Kelvedon Road, Tiptree in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Oak Road for a distance of approximately 105m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 24th July 2024 for 39 days, or where stated on a valid permit (ZP010N0023962-1RC-CF-EUL - Gas Transportation Company). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Gas Transportation Company.

(Layer Road, Abberton)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Layer Road, Abberton in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 830m south east of its junction with Bounstead Hill for a distance of approximately 100m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 24th July 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2363853 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while signing works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Layer Road, Mersea Road, Blackheath, Berechurch Hall Road, Layer Road, High Road, Malting Green Road, Abberton Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 4th July 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Plough Road, Great Bentley)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Plough Road, Great Bentley in the District of Tendring, from its junction with New Cut to its junction with Station Road a distance of approximately 75m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 22nd July 2024 for 12 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MT002DS0054973 - Affinity Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new fire main connection works are undertaken by Affinity Water.

An alternative route is available via Weeley Road, Thorrington Road, Great Bentley Road, Station Road, Clacton Road, Holly Bush Hill and vice versa (with access only into Plough Road, Colles Brook Road, South Heath Road and Dead Lane).

The Order will come into effect on 4th July 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Temporary Introduction of 30mph Speed Limit) Order (No.15) 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily introduce a 30mph speed limit on that length of road as specified in the schedule to this order.

The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 4th July 2024, exact dates will be specified on one.network. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/ leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the roads.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway)

Order (No.16) 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close those lengths of road in the City of Colchester as specified in the schedule to this Order.

2. A temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway in those lengths of road in the schedule for the duration of the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.

The Essex County Council (Colchester Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of road only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.

The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 4th July 2024, exact dates will be specified on one.network. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of West End Road, Tiptree in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 110m south east from the junction of Priory Road for a distance of approximately 70m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 22nd July 2024 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30068862884 - UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new supply installation works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

An alternative route is available via West End Road, Maldon Road, Braxted Park Road, Priory Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 4th July 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(All Saints Avenue, Colchester)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of All Saints Avenue, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Plume Avenue to its junction with Prettygate Road a distance of approximately 365m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 8th July 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2356375 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway investigation and repair works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Plume Avenue, Shrub End Road, King Harold Road, Prettygate Road and vice versa.

(Coach Road, Great Horkesley)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Coach Road, Great Horkesley in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Nayland Road for a distance of approximately 65m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 8th July 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30074697440 - UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new electricity supply works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

(Collingwood Road, Colchester)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Collingwood Road, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 110m south east of its junction with London Road for a distance of approximately 30m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 8th July 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD01310760765 - Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Crown Street, Dedham in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Manningtree Road to its junction with East Lane a distance of approximately 725m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 9th July 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2355516 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Military Road, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 90m south east of its junction with Mill Street for a distance of approximately 10m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 8th July 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD01310751230 - Anglian Water). Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Mill Lane, Weeley Heath in the District of Tendring, from a point approximately 105m south east of its junction with Rectory Road for a distance of approximately 25m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 9th July 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MT00110233353 - Affinity Water). Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Plummers Road, Fordham in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 145m north east of its junction with Rams Farm Road for a distance of approximately 20m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 8th July 2024 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD02310759248 - Anglian Water).
