What is happening?
SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: A) Bytham Road (Part), Ogbourne St George; from its junction with Copse Drove to its junction with Old Chase Road to enable Openreach to carry out road closure required for the safe access to provide new pole. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 23 July 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:30 and 15:30 for 2 days. B) C83 (Part), Oaksey; from the road outside its property known as Manbys Farm for a distance of approximately 400m in a south westerly direction to enable Openreach to carry out pole testing works and other associated works. Alternative route via C83 (unaffected length) - C76 - A429 - C85 - C83 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 23 July 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. For further information please contact Openreach on 0800 023 2023. - C86 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 24 July 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. This Order will come into operation on 22 July 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 3 days. E) Copse Drove (Part), Ogbourne St George; from its junction with Bytham Road for a distance of approximately 430m in a north easterly direction to enable Openreach to carry out safe access to underground structure. This Order will come into operation on 23 July 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:30 and 15:30 for 2 days. Alternative route via A4 - B4643 -B4528 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 22 July 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 for 4 nights. G) Trow Lane, Brinkworth and Tockenham; from its junction with Sodom Lane to its junction with A3102 to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out verge overrun work and other associated works. Alternative route via A3102 - C76 - C108 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 22 July 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 07:00 and 17:00 for 5 days. I) Blackcross, Chippenham; from its junction with London Road to its junction with Long Close. J) Long Close (Part), Chippenham; from outside its property known as No.10 Long Close to outside its property known as No.22 Long Close to enable Wessex Water to carry out sewer improvement works to reduce risk of flooding during abnormal weather and associated works. Alternative route H via London Road (unaffected length) - Avenue La Fleche - Pewsham Way and vice versa. Alternative route I via Long Close - London Road and vice versa. No alternative route is available for J. This Order will come into operation on 25 July 2024 and the closures will be required until 27 September 2024. H) 25 July 2024 until 31 August 2024. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: K) Ravensroost Road (Part), Braydon; from its junction with C67 to its property known as The Roost to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out installation of a new 32mm water pipe via directional drill and associated works. Alternative route via Ravensroost Road (unaffected length) - The Common - C67 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 01 July 2024 and the closure will be required until 05 July 2024. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to temporarily introduce No Waiting at any time on the following length of road: B4069 The Banks (Part), Lyneham and Bradenstoke - both sides - from outside its property known as The Bungalow to outside its property known as No.07 The Banks to enable major road reconstruction. The restriction will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order will come into operation on 01 July 2024 and the restriction will be required until 31 January 2025. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Order will have a maximum duration of 18 months. Notice is hereby given that on 19 June 2024 Wiltshire Council made the above mentioned Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which is as follows: Order 1 - To revoke The County of Wiltshire (A4, Froxfield) (40mph Speed Limit) Order 2003 and re-enact it in the above Order 1 and to introduce a 40mph speed limit on A4, Froxfield - from a point 79 metres west of its junction with C30 Oak Hill to a point 310 metres west of that junction. Order 2 - To revoke The County of Wiltshire (A4, Froxfield) (50mph Speed Limit) Order 2003 and re-enact it, in part, in the above Order 2. A copy of the Orders can be obtained via email request to TrafficOrders@wiltshire.gov.uk. Any person aggrieved by the Orders and desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in the Orders on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the relevant Section of the above Act or on the grounds that any requirement of that Section or of Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act or any regulation made under the said Schedule, has not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court. The Orders will come into operation on 1 July 2024.

HIGH PENN AREA, CALNE) (20MPH SPEED LIMIT ZONE) ORDER 2024
Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council proposes to make the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to introduce a 20mph speed limit zone on Clover Grove, Finch Lane, Hawthorne Close, Juniper Close, Larkspur Drive, Lovage Lane, Lupin Close, Sorrel Street, Sparrow Crescent and Sycamore Drive, Calne - the complete lengths. Deposit copies of the Order, plans and Statement of the Council's Reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected at the offices of Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge during normal office hours. Details of the proposed scheme may be seen at Calne Library, The Strand SN11 0JU during the hours of 10am to 7pm Monday, 9.30am to 5pm Tuesday and Thursday, 9.30am to 7pm Friday, 9.30am to 4pm Saturday until 22 July 2024. Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council proposes to make the above Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to revoke The County of Wiltshire (Various Roads, Foxham in the Parish of Bremhill) (40mph Speed Limit) Order 1999 and re-enact it, in part, in the above Order 2 and to introduce a 30mph speed limit on C111 - from its junction with C118 to a point 323 metres east of that junction; C118 - from a point 90 metres south west of its junction with C111 to a point 720 metres north west of that junction. Deposit copies of the Orders, plan and Statement of the Council's Reasons for proposing to make the Orders may be inspected at the offices of Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge during normal office hours.
