What is happening?

(Byway 10 Stisted & Byway 1 Coggeshall)

(Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close Byway 10, Stisted and Byway 1 Coggeshall, in the District of Braintree. As below

Byway Number: Byway 10, Stisted

Description: From Tumbler's Geen Northeast for approximately 391 metres to Byway 1 Coggeshall.

Byway Number: Byway 1 Coggeshall

Description: From Nunty's Lane Northwest for approximately 402 metres.

The closures are scheduled to commence on 30 June 2024 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting. The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while drainage and surface improvements works are undertaken.

The alternative route will be via Tumbler's Green, Woodhouse Farm Road, Potash Farm Road, Nunty's Lane and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 30 June 2024 and may continue in force for 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Temporary Prohibition of Use) & (Pasture Road, Witham)

(Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) Order (No.6) 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close those lengths of cycleways/footways in the District of Braintree as specified in the schedule.

2. A temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' restriction will be introduced on both sides of the carriageway on that length of Pasture Road, Witham, from the junctions with The Grove Roundabout for a distance of approximately 330m in an easterly direction.

Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping restrictions will be in force.

"The Essex County Council (Braintree District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Waiting at Any Time' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above length of road only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.

The works being undertaken will take place within a 6-month period from 4th July 2024, exact dates will be specified on One.network. The cycleways/ footways will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.

Description: Whole Cycleway from its junction with Pasture Road to its junction with ECN02008 a distance of approximately 410m.

Alternative Route: No diversion available

Road: ECN02008, Witham

Description: From its junction with Stepfield to its junction with Chess Lane a distance of approximately 80m.

Alternative Route: No diversion available

Road: Chess Lane, Witham

Description: From its junction with Armiger Way to its junction with ECN02008 a distance of approximately 45m.

Alternative Route: No diversion available

(Bakers Lane/Church Road & Buck Hill, Black Notley)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close that length of Bakers Lane, Black Notley in the District of Braintree, from its junction with London Road to its junction with Church Road, a distance of approximately 1790m.

2. To temporarily close that length of Church Road, Black Notley in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Bakers Lane to its junction with The Street, a distance of approximately 610m.

3. To temporarily close that length of Buck Hill, Black Notley in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Bakers Lane to its junction with Notley Road, a distance of approximately 345m.

The closures are scheduled to commence on 8th July 2024 for 77 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30026289966/EC30026794415 & EC30068439962 - UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while LV cable installation works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

An alternative route is available via London Road, King William Roundabout, Notley Cross, Link Under Braintree Bypass Roseval Roundabout, Pierrefitte Way, High Street, St Michaels Road, Notley Road and vice versa.

(Church Road, Rivenhall)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Church Road, Rivenhall in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Oak Road/ Rickstones Road for a distance of approximately 1630m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 9th July 2024 for 2 nights (19:30 - 05:00), or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2355515 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Park Road, Parkgate Road, Hollow Road, Church Hill, Church Street, High Street, London Road, A12, London Road, Henry Dixon Road, Oak Road, and vice versa (following one way for access on and off A12).

The Order came into effect on 20th June 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Coggeshall Road, Kelvedon)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Coggeshall Road, Kelvedon in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Pantlings Lane to its junction with Scrips Lane a distance of approximately 1170m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 8th July 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2361323 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while drainage and signing works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Kelvedon Road, Grange Hill, Bridge Street, The Gravel, West Street, Market End, East Street, Feering Road, Coggeshall Road, London Road, Feering Hill, Swan Street, Station Road. Coggeshall Road and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 20th June 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(London Road, Rivenhall)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of London Road, Rivenhall, in the District of Braintree from the junction with A12 to the junction with Braxted Road a distance of approximately 176m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 8th July 2024 for 1 night (20:00 - 05:00), or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2319327A - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via A12 -J22, Colemans Bridge, A12, Oak Road, Henry Dixon Road or A12, Cranes Lane and A12. The Order came into effect on 20th June 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Sheepcotes Lane, Silver End)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Sheepcotes Lane, Silver End in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Lyons Square for a distance of approximately 130m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 15th July 2024 for 11 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30075736343 - UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

An alternative route is available via Hollies Road, Fiveash Lane, Links Road, Boars Tye Road, Sheepcotes Lane and vice versa (with access only into Sheepcotes Lane).

The Order came into effect on 20th June 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
