What is happening?
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14 - KIRKLEES COUNCIL
(RED DOLES ROAD, FARTOWN, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Red Doles Road, Fartown from a point 20 metres either side of the railway bridge PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times
There is no diversion as this is a no through route – access will be provided for residents and emergency services
It is intended that the closure will operate on 17 July 2024 between the hours of 10:00 and 16:00 (although this can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary)
(ARMITAGE ROAD, ARMITAGE BRIDGE, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Armitage Road, Armitage Bridge from its junction with Meltham Road to its junction with Bankfeld Terrace PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by this closure will be available via B6108 Meltham Road, A616 Bridge Street, A616 Woodhead Road, Stockwell Hill, Armitage Road, Armitage Road, Carriage Srive, A616 Woodhead Road, A616 Bridge Street, B6108 Meltham Road.
It is intended that this closure will commence on 15 July 2024 and will remain in force until 2 August 2024 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
(FOOTPATH COL/74/40 AND FOOTPATH COL/74/30, LINTHWAITE, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the footpath intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall proceed in that length of Footpath COL/74/40 and Footpath COL/74/30, Linthwaite from their junctions with Low Westwood Lane to their junctions with Footpath COL/75/40 PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to persons carrying out the proposed works.
Alternative routes for persons affected by this closure will be available via Footpath COL/75/40, Footpath COL/74/60, Footpath COL/74/70, Low Westwood Lane and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence on 15 July 2024 and will remain in force until 13 September 2024 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 6 months if necessary).
(LINGARDS ROAD, SLAITHWAITE, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Lingards Road, Slaithwaite from its junction with Chain Road to its junction with Hollins Lane PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Chain Road, Varley Road, Manchester Road, Lingards Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 1st July 2024 and remain in force until 11th July 2024 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
(NEW LANE, SKELMANTHORPE, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of New Lane, Skelmanthorpe from a point outside property no. 2 to a point outside property no. 8a PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Commercial Road, Windmill Crescent, New Lane and vice versa.
To facilitate the diversionary route the existing One Way Order restrictions has been temporarily suspended for the duration of the closure (i.e traffc will be two way).
It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 1st July 2024 and remain in force until 3rd July 2024 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
(TAYLOR HILL ROAD, TAYLOR HILL/BERRY BROW, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the following lengths of road in Taylor Hill/Berry Brow, Huddersfeld:-
Road Closure
Taylor Hill Road - from its junction with Woodhead Road to its junction with Station Lane Point Closures
The following lengths of road at their junction with Taylor Hill Road:-
Bankfeld Park Avenue, Fair Lea Road, Fair Lea Avenue, Chapel Street, Stoney Cross Street, Stoney Lane.
PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Woodhead Road, Station Lane and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 1st July 2024 and remain in force until 12th July 2024 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
(WEATHERHILL ROAD, LINDLEY, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Weatherhill Road, Lindley from its junction with West Street to a point outside property no. 5 PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Weatherhill Road, Lindley Moor Road, Crosland Road, Cowrakes Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence on Tuesday, 2nd July 2024 and remain in force until 3rd July 2024 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
(THONG LANE, NETHERTHONG, HOLMFIRTH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Thong Lane, Netherthong from a point approximately 70 metres east of property no. 70 to a point approximately 50 metres east of property no. 70. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Thong Lane, Huddersfeld Road, New Road, Church Street, School Street and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence on Tuesday, 2nd July 2024 and remain in force until 3rd July 2024 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
(HIGHFIELD LANE, LEPTON, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Highfeld Lane, Lepton from a point outside property no. 28 to a point outside property no. 3 PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Highfeld Lane, Chimney Lane, Wakefeld Road, Lascelles Hall Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate on Wednesday, 3rd July 2024 only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
(KAYE LANE/ASHES LANE, ALMONDBURY, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the following lengths of road in Almondbury, Huddersfeld:-
Kaye Lane - from its junction with Longcroft to its junction with Ashes Lane Ashes Lane - from its junction with Kaye Lane to its junction with Cold Hill Lane PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the following routes:-
Kaye Lane - via Northgate, Longley Road, Hall Cross Road, Lowerhouses Lane, Longley Lane and vice versa;
Ashes Lane - via Ashes Lane, Hey Lane, Honley Road, The Village, Woodsome Road, Penistone Road, Fenay Lane, Northgate and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 1st July 2024 and remain in force until 12th July 2024 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
(DALTON BANK ROAD, DALTON/COLNE BRIDGE, HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) (NO. 2) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Dalton Bank Road, Dalton/Colne Bridge from its junction with Jagger Lane to its junction with Bog Green Lane PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the following routes:-
Diversion 1 - via Nettleton Road, Briggate, Long Lane, Broad Lane, A629 Wakefeld Road, A62 Southgate, A62 Leeds Road, A62 Cooper Bridge Road, Cooper Bridge roundabout, A62 Cooper Bridge Road, Colne Bridge Road;
Diverseion 2 - Colne Bridge Road, A62 Leeds Road, A62 Southgate, A62 Wakefeld Road, Broad Lane, Long Lane, Briggate, Nettleton Road.
The closure which commenced on Tuesday, 19th March 2024 to follow on from the expiry of the Emergency Notice dated 27th February 2024 has been further extended to remain in force until 30th September 2024 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
