Cumeragh Lane - Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic
What is happening?
NOTICE OF PROPOSAL
HIGHWAYS ACT 1980
LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(BLEASDALE ROAD AND CUMERAGH LANE, WHITTINGHAM, PRESTON CITY) (ROAD HUMPS AND JUNCTION TABLE)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in accordance with Section 90A of the Highways Act 1980, Lancashire County Council propose the following:
1. Introduce speed cushions in the following locations:
a) Cumeragh Lane, Whittingham, from a point 36.68 metres south of its junction with the centreline of Tansy Road for a distance of 3 metres in a southerly direction;
b) Cumeragh Lane, Whittingham, from a point 68.14 metres north of its junction with the centreline of Bleasdale Road for a distance of 3 metres in a northerly direction
2. Introduce a junction table in the following locations:
a) Cumeragh Lane, Whittingham, from the intersection of the centreline of Bleasdale Road and Cumeragh Lane for a distance of 12.91 metres in a northerly direction;
b) Cumeragh Lane, Whittingham, from the intersection of the centreline of Bleasdale Road and Cumeragh Lane for a distance of 15.01 metres in a southerly direction;
c) Bleasdale Road, Whittingham, from the intersection of the centreline of Bleasdale Road and Cumeragh Lane for a distance of 8.25 metres in an easterly direction.
The speed cushions and junction table will have a maximum height not exceeding 75mm.
A copy of the relevant notice and plan, indicating the proposal may be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of the Preston City Council, PO Box 10, Town Hall, Lancaster Road, Preston, PR1 2RL, and at the offices of The Director of Law and Governance, Lancashire County Council, County Hall, Fishergate, Preston PR1 8XJ, and on Lancashire County Councils Website http://www.lancashire.gov.uk/roads-parking-and-travel/roads/roadworks-and-traffic-regulation-orders/permanent.aspx. Any representations or objections (specifying the grounds on which they are made) relating to the proposal must be made in writing and should be sent to The Director of Law and Governance, Lancashire County Council, P O Box 100, County Hall, Preston PR1 0LD or by e-mail to tro-consultation@lancashire.gov.uk quoting ref:LSG4/894. 18857/AFR before 26 July 2024.
