Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close Footpath 36 and Bridleway 5, Chelmsford Garden, in the City of Chelmsford. As below.

Location - Description

Footpath 36, Chelmsford Garden - From its junction with Louvain Drive, approximately 355 metres, to its junction with Bridleway 5.

Bridleway 5, Chelmsford Garden - From its junction with Footpath 36 west for 113 metres.

The closures are scheduled to commence on 05 July 2024 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting. The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while the footpath is upgraded, this includes widening, lighting and resin surface.

The alternative route will be via Louvain Drive, Shardelow Avenue, Braganza Way Footpath 1 and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 05 July 2024 and may continue in force for 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Bicknacre Road, East Hanningfield) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Bicknacre Road, East Hanningfield in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 560m north east of its junction with Highfields Mead for a distance of approximately 80m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 22nd July 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008OGEA75588233 – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new service provision works are undertaken by Openreach.

An alternative route is available via Bicknacre Road, The Common, East Hanningfield Road, Southend Road, Gingerbreadhall Bridge Roundabout, North Roundabout, Southend Road, Essex Yeomanry Way, Church Street, Molrams Lane, Maldon Road, Main Road, Chelmsford Road, Oak Corner, Southend Road, Maldon Road – B1418, Hyde Lane, White Elm Road, Priory Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 4th July 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Boreham Road, Great Leighs) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Boreham Road, Great Leighs in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 50m north west of its junction with Fuller Street for a distance of approximately 1100m in a south easterly then south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 22nd July 2024 for 40 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EN01333115 – Essex And Suffolk Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while water mains renewal works are undertaken by Essex And Suffolk Water.

An alternative route is available via Boreham Road, Main Road, Great Leighs Bypass Roundabout South, Great Leighs Bypass, Strawbrook Hill, Braintree Road, Essex Regiment Way, Wheelers Farm Roundabout, Wheelers Hill, Cranham Road, Waltham Road, Main Road, London Road, Terling Hall Road, Church Road, The Street, Owls Hill, Braintree Road, Fuller Street.

The Order will come into effect on 4th July 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Braintree Road, Little Waltham) (Temporary Introduction of a 40mph Speed Restriction) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily introduce a 40mph speed restriction in that length of Braintree Road, Little Waltham in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with Sheepcotes Roundabout to its junction with Scurvy Hall Lane a distance of approximately 830m. The restriction is scheduled to commence on 22nd July 2024 for 1 night (21:00-05:00), or where stated on a valid permit (EP022310107611 – SCR Group). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while lining works are undertaken by SCR Group.

The Order will come into effect on 4th July 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Fox Crescent, Chelmsford) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Fox Crescent, Chelmsford in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 70m south west of its junction with Langton Avenue for a distance of approximately 135m in a south westerly then south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 22nd July 2024 for 40 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP003S50-2104A-C-03 – EJ Taylor). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while Section 278 (Bellmouth construction) and Section 50 (New water connection) works are undertaken by EJ Taylor.

An alternative route is available via Fox Crescent, The Green, West Avenue, Langton Avenue and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 4th July 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Paradise Road, Writtle) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Paradise Road, Writtle in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with Lodge Road to its end a distance of approximately 545m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 26th July 2024 for 11 days, or where stated on a valid permit (N7103DIS153746 – Nexfibre). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while ducting works are undertaken by Nexfibre.

An alternative route is available via Rectory Road, Margaretting Road, Lodge Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 4th July 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Cooksmill Green, Highwood) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Cooksmill Green, Highwood in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 670m north east then north west of its junction with Ongar Road for a distance of approximately 50m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 8th July 2024 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411SA001WF7V0D0B – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while poling works are undertaken by Openreach.

An alternative route is available via Cooksmill Green, Ongar Road, Radley Green Road and vice versa.

(Generals Lane, Boreham) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Generals Lane, Boreham in the City of Chelmsford District, from its junction with Road Between Generals Lane and Beaulieu Parkway for a distance of approximately 450m in a north westerly then north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 8th July 2024 for 54 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP02231010892 – Breheny Civil Engineering). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while reconstruction and change of alignment works are undertaken by Breheny Civil Engineering.

An alternative route is available via Generals Lane, Beaulieu Parkway and vice versa.

(Gay Bowers Road, Danbury) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) & (Capons Lane & Hyde Lane, Danbury) (Temporary Suspension of 7.5 Tonne Weight Restriction) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close that length of Gay Bowers Road, Danbury in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with Capons Lane for a distance of approximately 70m in a south westerly direction.

2. To temporarily suspend the 7.5T weight restriction on that length of Capons Lane & Hyde Lane, Danbury, from its junction with Maldon Road B1418 to its junction with Gay Bowers Road as cited in the “ The Borough of Chelmsford (Various Roads Chelmsford Area) (Prohibition of Heavy Commercial Vehicles Exceeding 7.5 Tonnes Maximum Gross Weight) Order, 1981 “for the duration of the closure only.

The closure/restriction is scheduled to commence on 8th July 2024 for 15 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30039142099 – UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure/restriction is required for the safety of the public and workforce while overhead line upgrade and pole replacement works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

An alternative route is available via Bicknacre Road, White Elm Road, Hyde Lane, Capons Lane and vice versa (with access only into Gay Bowers Road).

(High Easter Road – Bishops Green – Zc10104, Barnston) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of High Easter Road – Bishops Green – Zc10104, Barnston in the District of Uttlesford from a point approximately 255m south west from its junction with Sallets Farm Lane, for a distance of approximately 180m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 9th July 2024 for 4 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MX06051667/AP – Affinity Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Affinity Water.

An alternative route is available via High Easter Road, Chelmsford Road, Dunmow Road, Lawn Hall Chase, Main Road, Wall Chase, Church Lane, Warners Farm Roundabout, Essex Regiment Way, Penden Hill, Pleshey Road, Ford End Road, The Street, Bury Road, Stagden Cross Road, Rehobeth Street, Barnston Road, High Easter Road – Bishops Green – Zc10104 and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 20th June 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Various Roads, City of Chelmsford) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) (No.12) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close those lengths of roads in the City of Chelmsford as specified in the schedule to this Order.

2. A temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on those lengths of roads specified in the schedule for the duration of the closures to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping restriction will be in force.

“The Essex County Council (Chelmsford City) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019” will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time’ restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.

The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 20th June 2024, exact dates will be specified on One.Network. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Witham Road, Little Braxted/Little Braxted Lane, Witham in the District of Maldon and District of Braintree, from a point approximately 865m south of the junction with Colemans Bridge for a distance of approximately 120m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 10th July 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH10004079 – Essex County Council). Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Workhouse Lane, South Woodham Ferrers in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with Creephedge Lane to its junction with Main Road a distance of approximately 770m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 11th July 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2362516 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Main Road, Burnham Road, Fen Roundabout, Willow Grove and vice versa.
