NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Moulton Avenue Bedford between Nash Road and Mareth Road. This temporary road closure is required to facilitate carriageway repairs and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 09:00 to 15:30 hours 9th July 2024
The signed alternative route for vehicles affected by the order is available via Moulton Avenue, Acacia Road, Collie Road, Barford Avenue, Cardington Road, Fenlake Avenue, Mareth Road.
The reverse route applies.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Mile Road Bedford from the junction of Windsor Road to the roundabout at London Road.
This temporary road closure is required to assist the management of traffic flows around the election count venue. and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.
This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 21:30 to 23:59 hours 4th July 2024 London Road, Elstow Road.
The reverse route applies.

BEDFORD ROAD LAYBY, TURVEY 24 – 024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Bedford Road Layby Turvey.
This temporary road closure is required to facilitate a new water supply and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 08:00 to 18:00 hours from 8th July 2024 to 10th July 2024 The signed alternative route for vehicles affected by the order is available via Bedford Road.
The reverse route applies.

BEDFORD RIVER FESTIVAL 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along various roads as detailed below.
High Street, Mill Street, St Pauls Square, Horne Lane, St Marys Street, Duck Mill Lane, The Embankment, Newnham Road, Albany Road, Waterloo Road, Rothsay Road, Bushmead Avenue Shaftesbury Avenue Tennyson Road, Beresford Road, Kingsley Road, George Street, Dudley Street, Denmark Street, York Street, Pembroke Street, Bower Street, Howbury Street. These temporary road closures are required to facilitate the Bedford River Festival 2024 and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.
These temporary road closures are expected to be in operation between 20:00 to 05:00 hours from 19th July 2022 to 22nd July 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along Wick End Stagsden.
This temporary road closure is required to facilitate stop tap replacements and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. TEMPORARY 30 MPH SPEED RESTRICTION AND PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2024
RUSHDEN ROAD, SHARNBROOK AND A6 LAYBY RUSHDEN ROAD NORTH OF SHARNBROOK 24 – 045
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Bedford Borough Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding the length of Rushden Road, Sharnbrook at a speed exceeding 30 mph from the A6 layby north of Sharnbrook for approx. 400m and to prohibit any vehicle access to the A6 layby north of Sharnbrook.
This temporary 30 mph speed restriction and Layby closure is required for safety of the public and work force to facilitate the renewal of a water main, and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.
This temporary 30 mph speed restriction and layby closure is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours from 24th July 2024 to 9th August 2024

Effect of the Order:

Effect of the Order.
1. To revoke existing “No stopping on entrance markings, Mon - Fri, 8:00am - 4:30pm” restrictions on the following length of road:
A Clapham Road, Bedford
(i) On its north-eastern kerb, from a point approx. 13.5 metres north-west of the centre of Slade Walk for a distance of approx. 39 metres in a north-westerly direction.
2. To revoke existing “No stopping Mon - Sat 8am - 5pm except buses” on the following length of road:
A Clapham Road, Bedford
(i) On its north-eastern kerb, from a point approx. 52.5 metres north-west of the centre of Slade Walk for a distance of approx. 24 metres in a north-westerly direction.
3. To revoke existing “Pay & Display, Maximum Stay 4 Hours, Mon - Sat 8am - 6pm except Permit Holders (C)” on the following length of road:
A Clapham Road, Bedford
(i) On its north-eastern kerb, from a point approx. 76.5 metres north-west of the centre of Slade Walk for a distance of approx. 14 metres in a north-westerly direction.
(ii) On its south-western kerb, from a point approx. 58 metres north-west of the projected centre of Slade Walk for a distance of approx. 32 metres in a northwesterly direction.
4. To introduce “No Waiting at Any Time” restrictions (double yellow lines) on the following lengths of road:

(i) On its north-eastern kerb, from its junction with Slade Walk to its junction with Clarendon Street.

1. To revoke existing single yellow line restrictions (No waiting Mon – Sat, 8am – 6.30pm) and to mark unlimited parking in its place on the following lengths of road:
A Iddesleigh Road, Bedford
(i) On its northern kerb, extending from a point approx. 11 metres west of the western side of Howard Place for a distance of approx. 60.5 metres in a westerly direction.
(ii) On its northern kerb, extending from a point approx. 13.5 metres west of the centre of Hurst Grove for a distance of approx. 59.5 metres in a westerly direction.
(iii) On its northern kerb, extending from a point approx. 80.3 metres west of the centre of Hurst Grove for a distance of approx. 25 metres in a westerly direction.
(iv) On its northern kerb, extending from a point approx. 10 metres west of the centre of Coventry Road for a distance of approx. 38.5 metres in a westerly direction.

(ii) On its western kerb, from the northern side of Iddesleigh Road for a distance of approx. 2.8 metres in a northerly direction

(i) On both sides from the southern side of Iddesleigh Road for a distance of approx. 4 metres in a southerly direction.
4. To introduce a double yellow line restriction (No waiting at any time) on the following lengths of roads:

(i) On both sides, from the southern side of Iddesleigh Road for a distance of approx. 5 metres in a southerly direction.
B Howard Place, Bedford
(i) On both sides, from the northern side of Iddesleigh Road for a distance of approx. 5 metres in a northerly direction.

(i) On both sides, from the southern side of Iddesleigh Road for a distance of approx. 5 metres in a southerly direction.

5. To revoke a time limited parking bay, Mon - Sat, 8am - 6pm, for a maximum period of 15 minutes, and to introduce “Loading Only 8am - 6.30pm 15 mins No return within 1 hour” in its place on the following length of road:
A Iddesleigh Road, Bedford
(i) On its northern kerb, from the western flank wall of property no. 15 extending for a distance of approx. 10 metres in a westerly direction.
6. To revoke a time limited parking bay and introduce unlimited parking in its place on the following lengths of road:
A Iddesleigh Road, Bedford
(i) On its southern kerb, extending from a point approx. 11 metres west of the western side of Hurst Grove to a point approx. 18 metres east of the centre of Fairfax Road.
(ii) On its southern kerb, extending from a point approx. 9.5 metres west of the centre of Fairfax Road to a point approx. 12 metres east of the centre of Cromwell Road.
(iii) On its southern kerb, extending from a point approx. 8 metres west of the centre of Cromwell Road for a distance of approx. 38.5 metres in a westerly direction.
(iv) On its southern kerb, extending from a point approx. 7 metres west of the centre of Coventry Road to a point approx. 13 metres east of the centre of Marlborough Road.

8. To revoke two “Electric vehicle recharging point only” bays at the following location and subject to the following restrictions:
Road: Iddesleigh Road, Bedford
Location: On its southern kerb, extending from a point approx. 8 metres east of Westbourne Road for a distance of approx. 10 metres in an easterly direction.
Restrictions: At all times: Only electric vehicles that are recharging will be permitted to park in these bays. 8 am - 6 pm: Maximum stay 4 hours, no return within 1 hour. 6 pm - 8 am: No time restrictions.
9. To introduce two “Electric vehicle recharging point only” bays at the following location and subject to the following restrictions:

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2022
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Order made by Bedford Borough Council made on 15th December 2022, extended on 1st September 2023 the effect of which will be to prohibit any person proceeding on foot along the length of Wyboston Chawston and Colesden: Footpath No 7 which extends from Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL 1562 5543 to OS GR TL1559 5614 has been continued in force with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport until 2nd July 2025.
This temporary closure is required to facilitate works associated with the Improvement Scheme for the A428 Black Cat to Caxton Gibbett.
The closure is to continue from Wednesday 3rd July 2024 for up to one year.
There is no alternative route for users while the closure is in operation.
The Order will come into operation on 3rd July 2024 for a period not exceeding one year or until the works which it is proposed to carry out on or near to the footpath have been completed, whichever is the earlier. If the works are not completed within one year the Order may be extended for a longer period with the consent of the Secretary of State for Transport.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2022
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Order made by Bedford Borough Council on the 15th December 2022, extended on 26th May 2023 the effect of which will be to prohibit any person proceeding on foot along the lengths of Footpath: Wyboston, Chawston and Colesden: Footpath No 36 which extends from Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL1588 5541 to OS GR TL1593 5553. Wyboston, Chawston and Colesden: Footpath No 8 which extends from Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL1596 5548 ) to OS GR TL1585 5614 has been continued in force with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport until 2nd July 2025.
This closure is required to facilitate works associated with the Improvement Scheme for the A428 Black Cat to Caxton Gibbett.
The closure will continue from Wednesday 3rd July 2024 for up to one year.
The alternative route for footpath users while the closure is in operation will be to proceed from OS GR TL1585 5614 east along Chawston Lane to its junction with Great North Road continue north to Black Cat Service area and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 3rd July 2024 for a period not exceeding one year or until the works which it is proposed to carry out on or near to the footpaths have been completed, whichever is the earlier. If the works are not completed within one year the Order may be extended for a longer period with the consent of the Secretary of State for Transport.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Order made by Bedford Borough Council on the 15th December 2022, extended on 1st September 2023 the effect of which will be to prohibit any person proceeding on foot along the length of part of public footpath No A10 and footpath No 10 Wyboston, Chawston, and Colesden which extends from Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) TL 1537 5536 to OS GR TL 1475 5572 has been continued in force with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport until 2nd July 2025.
This closure is required to facilitate works associated with the Improvement Scheme for the A428 Black Cat to Caxton Gibbett.
