Leake Road, Costock - Temporary Prohibition of Driving to Enable Works to Be Carried Out
What is happening?
THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (LEAKE ROAD, COSTOCK) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2024 (R24-119)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council has made an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Costock in the Borough of Rushcliffe.
The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road:
a. Leake Road - from its junction with Bars Hill in a westerly direction for a distance of 140 metres.
2. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
3. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:
Weekend 1 - From 08:00 hours on Saturday 29th June 2024 Until 17:00 hours on Sunday 30th June 2024
Weekend 2 - From 08:00 hours on Saturday 6th July 2024 Until 17:00 hours on Sunday 7th July 2024
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be: Main Street - A60 Loughborough Road - A6006 Ashby Road -A6006 Melton Road - Loughborough Road - Castle Hill and vice versa.
The Order will come into force on Saturday 29th June 2024 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out.
The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
