What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)
Notice of Temporary Traffic Order 
Banbury, Various Footpath closures
Date of Order: 24/06/2024 - Coming into force: 01/07/2024
This Order is being introduced because of excavations in the footpaths to install fibre optic cables as follows:
(1) Fuchsia Walk, and (2) Acacia Walk (Nos.1 to 5) which are anticipated to be undertaken 1 to 5 July.
(2) Footpath in front of Nos.47-51 The Camellias; and (4) the side of Nos.28-29 Lavender Close which are anticipated to be undertaken on 8 to 12 July.
The effect of the Order is to close temporarily parts of the 4 footpaths. Appropriate signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.
Exemptions are included for emergency services, for Works and for pedestrian access to premises which are only accessible from the closed sections of footpath. Diversions will be signed locally. (Ref: T13894, T13895, T13906/RMF)
Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
Banbury, Various Footpaths
Date of Order: 08/07/2024 - Coming into force: 15/07/2024
This Order is being introduced because of fibre optic cables installation works, working 8am to 6pm.
The effect of the Order is to close temporarily sections of the following footpaths:
– between Longelandes Way and Portway from 15 July to 9 September;
– between Danesmoor and Portway from September to 1 November
Exemptions are included for emergency services, for Works and for pedestrian access to premises which are only accessible from the closed sections of footpath. Appropriate signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Diversions will be signed locally. (Ref: T13970/T13971.

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
Fifield, Footpath 4
Date of Order: 11/12/2023 - Came into force: 01/01/2024
This Order was introduced because of demolition and construction work which is anticipated to be completed in June 2026.
The effect of the Order is to close temporarily footpath Number 4 which runs south-eastwards from Bruern Road to Bridleway 5. Appropriate signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.
Exemptions are included for emergency services, for Works and for pedestrian access to premises which are only accessible from the closed sections of footpath. The alternative route is signed locally.
With the consent of the Secretary of State for Transport the order will remain on force until 20 June 2026 or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner.

(ADDERBURY PARISH) (SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 20**
NOTICE is given that Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.
The effect of the order – to help improve road safety – is to introduce a 40mph speed limit on the A4260 Banbury Road in place of the existing 60mph National speed limit, between the 30mph speed limit at Adderbury & the 40mph speed limit at Bodicote, a distance of approximately 700 metres.
The Oxfordshire County Council (Adderbury Parish) (Speed Limits) (No.2) Order 2023 will be revoked/replaced as necessary.

(BANBURY AREA) (SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 20**
NOTICE is given that Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The effect of the order – to help improve road safety – is to introduce a 40mph speed limit on the A422 Hennef Way in Banbury, in place of the existing 50mph between its junctions with A423
Southam Road roundabout, and the Ermont Way/Wildmere Road roundabout.
The Oxfordshire County Council (Banbury Area) (Speed Limits – No.3) Order 2022 will be revoked/replaced as necessary.

(HORLEY PARISH) (20 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 20**
NOTICE is given that Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.
The effect of the order – in order to help improve road safety on local roads following concerns raised by the parish – is to introduce a 20mph speed limit throughout Horley (nr Banbury), replacing the existing 30mph speed limit in
its entirety in the process, leading out to the following points:
1. Hornton Lane – a point 265 metres northwest of its junction with Little Lane,
2. Wroxton Lane – a point 350 metres south of its junction with Gullivers Close,
3. Banbury Lane – a point 185 metres east of its junction with Hornton Lane & Wroxton Lane The Oxfordshire County Council (Horley Parish) (30 mph
Speed Limit) Order 2008 will be revoked/replaced as necessary.

NOTICE is given that Oxfordshire County Council proposes to
make the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act
1984 and all other enabling powers.
The effect of the order – in order to help improve road safety on local roads following concerns raised by the parish – is to introduce a 20mph speed limit throughout Drayton village near Banbury, replacing the existing 30mph speed limit in its entirety in the process, leading out to the A422 Stratford
Road:
1. Eastern end – a point 255 metres west of its junction with
Bretch Hill,
2. Western end – a point 156 metres northwest of its
junction with Metcalfe Close.
The Oxfordshire County Council (Drayton [Banbury] Parish) (Speed Limits) Order 2022 will be revoked/replaced as necessary.

NOTICE is given that Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.
The effect of the order – in order to help improve road safety on local roads following concerns raised by the parish – is to introduce a 20mph speed limit throughout Sibford Ferris, replacing the existing 30mph speed limit in its entirety in the process, leading out to the following points:
1. Hawkes Lane – a point 143 metres north of its junction with Mannings Close.
2. Hook Norton Road – a point 220 metres south of Cotswold Close.
3. Main Street – a point 125 metres east of Folly Court.
4. Woodway Road – a point 169 metres southwest of Hook Norton Road.
The Oxfordshire County Council (Sibford Ferris Parish) (Speed Limit) Order 2003 will be revoked/replaced as necessary.

NOTICE is given that Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.
The effect of the order – in order to help improve road safety on local roads following concerns raised by the parish – is to introduce a 20mph speed limit throughout Sibford Gower, replacing the existing 30mph speed limit in its entirety in the process, leading out to the following points:
1. Colony Road – a point 105 metres northeast of its junction
with Bridleway No.348/2/20,
2. Hawkes Lane:
a. Northern end – a point 155 metres north of its junction with Acre Ditch,
b. Southern end – a point 155 metres south of its junction with Acre Ditch,
3. Pound Lane – a point 195 metres north of its junction with High Meadow.
The Oxfordshire County Council (Sibford Gower Parish) (Speed Limit) Order 2003 will be revoked/replaced as necessary.
