What is happening?
WARRINGTON BOROUGH COUNCIL
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Notice is hereby given that, in not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice, the Council intends to make Orders under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Public Footpath No. 20 Appleton (Footpath Closure) Temporary Order 2024
The effect of which will be to introduce a footpath closure on Public Footpath No. 20 Appleton from its jct. with Doods Ln to its jct. with the newly diverted section of the public footpath beyond the second footbridge. The Order will be effective from 11th July 2024 for 6 months. No alternative route is available. The closure is required to protect the public from two dangerous footbridges on the footpath. Lyons Ln, Appleton (Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2024
The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving on Lyons Ln from its jct. with London Rd to its jct. with Park Cres. The Order will be effective from 22nd July 2024 for 3 weeks. The alternative route will be via London Rd, Longwood Rd & vice versa. The closure is required to allow Scottish Power to carry out network reinforcement works. Ref: 9526809
Mill Ln, Lymm (Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2024
The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving on Mill Ln from its jct. with Birchbrook Rd to its jct. with Wet Gate Ln. The Order will be effective from 22nd July 2024 for 2 days. The alternative route will be via Birchbrook Rd, Rushgreen Rd, New Rd, The Cross, Eagle Brow, Church Rd, Higher Ln & vice versa. The closure is required to allow Scottish Power to carry out a new electrical connection. Ref: 9548140
Newlands Rd, Grappenhall (Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2024
The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving on Newlands Rd from its jct. with Hill Top Rd to its jct. with Hunts Ln. The Order will be effective from 22nd July 2024 for 2 weeks. The alternative route will be via Hill Top Rd, Greenbank Rd, Higher Knutsford Rd, Hunts Ln & vice versa. The closure is required to allow United Utilities to carry out sewer repair works. Station Rd, Padgate (Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2024
The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving on Station Rd from its jct. with Blackbrook Ave to its jct. with Church Dr. The Order will be effective from 22nd July 2024 for 2 weeks. The alternative route will be via Blackbrook Ave, Birchwood Way, Woolston Grange Ave, Harpers Rd & vice versa. The closure is required to allow Scottish Power to carry out network reinforcement works. Ref: 9548142

Folly Ln, Kerfoot St & Adj. St's (Prohibition of Driving & Clearway) Temporary Order 2024 The effect of which is to introduce a prohibition of driving & clearway as follows: Folly Ln from its jct. with Bewsey Rd to its jct. with Kerfoot St; Kerfoot St from its jct. with Folly Ln/Dallam Ln to its jct. with A49 Winwick Rd; Dallam Ln from its jct. with Folly Ln to its jct. with Kerfoot St; From Folly Ln for 25m along the following lengths of road: Dalton Ave; Bevan View; Worsley St; Allcard St; Wilson St; Longshaw St; Folly Farm Cl. The Order will be effective from 15th July 2024 for 8 weeks. The hours of operation will be: Lovely Ln to Dallam Ln between 7pm & 1am; Dallam Ln to Winwick Rd between 10pm & 6am. The alternative route will be via Bewsey Rd, Tanners Ln, Winwick St, Pinners Brow, Winwick Rd & vice versa. The restrictions are required for carriageway resurfacing. Ref: 7836624
Forster St (Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2024
The effect of which is to introduce a prohibition of driving on Forster St from its jct. with Orford Ln to its jct. with Hale St. The Order will be effective from 1st July 2024 for 6 weeks. The alternative routes will be signed on site. The closure is required to allow Scottish Power to carry out mains renewal & service transfer works Ref: 9044609
Wood Ln, Appleton (Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2024
The effect of which is to introduce a prohibition of driving on Wood Ln from its jct. with Bridge Ln to its jct. with Ash Ln. The Order will be effective from 1st July 2024 for 2 weeks. The alternative route will be via Bridge Ln, Dale Ln & vice versa. The closure is required to allow Cadent Gas to carry out main renewal works. Ref: 8988512
The temporary restrictions will be in place as & when the signs are in place on site. Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works.
The Borough of Warrington (Off-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement) Consolidation (Amendment No. 8) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Council made an Order under Sections 1, 2, 4, 32, 35 & Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & of all other enabling powers on 26th June 2024. The effect of the Order is The Borough of Warrington (Off-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement) Consolidation Order 2018, is hereby further varied or amended as detailed in Schedules 1 & 2. The Order will be effective from 1st July 2024. Deposited documents may be viewed on-line at https://www.warrington.gov.uk/permanent-traffic-regulation-orders or Contact Warrington, 1 Time Sq, Warrington, WA1 2NT between 9am & 5pm, Monday to Friday. Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks from 26th June 2024, apply to the High Court for this purpose.

By the designation of the areas of land detailed in Column 1 below as Off-Street Parking Places & by the addition of the said Off-Street Parking Places to Schedule 1 of The Borough of Warrington (Off-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement) Consolidation Order 2018 as amended by The Borough of Warrington (Off-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement) Consolidation (Amendment No. 2) Order 2019. Conditions of use & charges of the Parking Place are detailed below: -
