OLDHAM BOROUGH COUNCIL

THE OLDHAM - FOOTPATH BETWEEN UNION STREET, ASCROFT STREET AND PRINTER STREET TEMPORARY CLOSURE ORDER 2024 TEMPORARY CLOSURE ORDER 2024

The Oldham Borough Council on 21st June 2024 made a Temporary Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is to prohibit pedestrians from proceeding along that part of Footpath between Union Street, Ascroft Street and Printer Street. The alternative route is via Union Street, Clegg Street & Ascroft Street.
The Order is to be made for public safety reasons due to part of potential risk of collapse of the roof parapet of the Prudential building and will be in force for a maximum period of 6 months from 28th June 2024. The Council will then make an order to extend the closure until the necessary works have been completed.
