KIRKLEES COUNCIL

(TRAFFIC REGULATION) (CONSOLIDATION ORDER PROVIDING ON-STREET PARKING PLACES, WAITING, LOADING AND STOPPING RESTRICTIONS AND MIGRATION TO A ‘MAP-BASED’ FORMAT) ORDER 2024 (AMENDMENT NO. 2) ORDER 2024

CENTURIAN WAY, CLECKHEATON

The Council of the Borough of Kirklees propose to make the above Order under their powers in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which, as it affects lengths of road in the Cleckheaton area of the Kirklees district, will be to amend the Kirklees Council (Traffic Regulation) (Consolidation Order Providing On-Street Parking Places, Waiting, Loading And Stopping Restrictions and Migration to a ‘Map-Based’ Format) Order 2024 so as to:

Prohibit the waiting at any time on lengths of Centurian Way, Cleckheaton

REASON: Planning permission has been granted to build a new petrol filling station and ancillary units with drive-thru on the site of Centurion House, Centurion Way, Cleckheaton, BD19 3QB.  Before the petrol station can become operational it will be necessary to construct a new access and egress off Centurion Way.  It is proposed to remove any on street parking in the vicinity of the new entrance and exit with the introduction of sections of ‘No Waiting At Any Time’ to help improve access, visibility, and safety for all road users.  It is believed these proposals will improve the amenities in the area through which these roads run.
