A23 Brighton Road, Horley
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

On 26 June 2024 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of A23 Brighton Road, Horley that extends from its junction with C65 Honeycrock Lane, to its junction with Brighton Road Service Road for 20 to 52 and Shopping Parade at No.34 Brighton Road.

This Traffic Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to carry out traffic signal works and/or highway maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8pm and 5am within 5 nights of the 18 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 01 July 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Access for pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Access for emergency services, residents and businesses will be maintained via the vehicular diversion route:- A23 Brighton Road, A23 Longbridge Roundabout, A217 Reigate Road, A217 Dovers Green Road, A2044 Woodhatch Road and A23 Brighton Road.

Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.

Deepdene Avenue (Slip Road) (D2821) Dorking
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

On 26 June 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Deepdene Avenue (D2821) Dorking.

This Order is required to facilitate reinstatement of the carriageway following electrical repair works for, or on behalf of UKPN. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 2 days, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 13 July 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. There is no alternative route for this closure.

Tilehurst Lane (D305) Betchworth
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

On 26 June 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Tilehurst Lane (D305) Betchworth that is crossed under the bridge known as “Tilehurst Lane (BTH3 328)” and for a distance of 20 metres either side.

Alternative Route: Tilehurst Lane, Parkpale Lane, Roothill Lane, Red Lane, Blackbrook Road, Chart Lane South, Punchbowl Lane, and Tilehurst Lane, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to carry out bridge repair works for, or on behalf of Network Rail. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 nights, between 10pm and 5am, during the 18-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 08 July 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times, as will access for emergency service vehicles. Equestrians will be escorted via the marshall on site.

All other vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.

Outwood Lane (B2032) Chipstead
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2024

On 26 June 2024 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Outwood Lane (B2032) Chipstead that is crossed under the bridge known as “Chipstead Viaduct” and for a distance of 20 metres either side.

Alternative Route: (B2032) Outwood Lane, (B2032) Waterhouse Lane, (B2032) Bonsor Drive, (A217) Brighton Road, (A2022) Bolters Lane, (B2219) Bolters Lane, (B2219) Holly Lane, (B2219) Lower Park Road, and (B2032) Outwood Lane, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate repair and maintenance works for, or on behalf of Network Rail.

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 night, between the hours of 1am and 1am within the 18-month period of operation of this Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 14 July 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force for 24 hours, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained via the walkway.

Due to the nature of the works, it will not be possible to maintain access for equestrians through the closure. Access for all other vehicular traffic including emergency service vehicles will be required to follow the signed diversion route.

No sole access will be affected by this closure.

Clareville Road (D1433) Caterham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

On 26 June 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Clareville Road (D1433) Caterham.

Alternative Route: (B2030) Godstone Road, (B2030) The Square, (B2030) Station Avenue, (D1432) Harestone Valley Road, and (D1433) Harestone Hill, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to facilitate utility works for, or on behalf of BT Openreach.

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days between the hours of 8am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 09 July 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.3) 2024

On 26 June 2024 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

This Order is required to facilitate gas mains replacement works for, or on behalf of SGN. These works will be carried out over 9 weeks, in 4 phases, all between the hours of 7am and 6pm within the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 08 July 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route.

Alternative Route for (1) and (2): Weatherhill Road, Redehall Road, (B2037) Effingham Road, (B2037) Keepers Corner, (B2037) Antlands Lane, and (B2036) Balcombe Road, or this route in reverse.

Alternative Route for (3): Broadbridge Lane, Redehall Road, (B2037) Effingham Road, (B2037) Keepers Corner, (B2037) Antlands Lane, (B2036) Balcombe Road, and Smallfield Road, or this route in reverse

Schedule

(1) the entire length of Weatherhill Road (C66) Smallfield; (2) the entire length of Woodside Crescent (D475) Smallfield; (3) that length of Broadbridge Lane (D356) Smallfield as extends from its junction with (C66) Weatherhill Road to its junction with (D1446) Cooper Close.

Albert Road (D350) Horley
Temporary (Suspension) Order 2024

On 26 June 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be that the Order which imposes a one-way system in that length of Albert Road (D350) Horley situated at or adjacent to property No.23 Albert Road, namely “The Borough of Reigate and Banstead (Albert Road, Horley) (Part) (One-Way Traffic) Order 1985” shall be suspended in its entirety.

This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate footway reconstruction works and/or major maintenance works being carried out on or near the said roads, which is anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 1 July 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary suspension of the Order will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed/covered up.

West Avenue (D359) Salfords
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

On 26 June 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of West Avenue (D359) Salfords.

This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to carry out re-surfacing works and/or major maintenance works which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 1 July 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times.

Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route.

In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period.

Alternative Route – D359 Copsleigh Close, D359 Copsleigh Avenue, D359 Copsleigh Way and D359 Woodside Way.

Smokejack Hill (C48) Wallis Wood and Markham Road (D559) Capel
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

On 26 June 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the Schedule to this Notice.

This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to carry out carriageway patching and/or major maintenance works which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 1 July 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.

Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route.

In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period.

Schedule

1. the entire length of Smokejack Hill (C48) Wallis Wood. Alternative Route – C48 Horsham Road, C51 Furzen Lane, B2128 Horsham Road and C47 Somersbury Lane; 2. the entire length of Markham Road (D559) Capel. There is no alternative route possible for this closure.

B2037 Effingham Road, Copthorne
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of B2037 Effingham Road, Copthorne that extends from its junction with D369 Dowlands Lane, to the northeastern property boundary of “Brookside”.

This Traffic Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to carry out drainage works to improve drainage and alleviate flooding on Effingham Road, to include the installation of new drainage pipes/assets, construction of a balancing pond and/or maintenance and/or highway works.

These works are anticipated to be carried out in sections between the hours of 8am and 5pm, within 3 months of the 18 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 22 July 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures which are anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Access for pedestrians and dismounted, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Access for emergency services, residents and businesses will be maintained at all times via the alternative route:- B2037 Effingham Road, C67 Redehall Road, C66 Plough Road, C66 Smallfield Road, C66 Croydon Barn Lane and C66 Bones Lane, B2028 West Park Road and B2037 Effingham Road.

Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.

The Ridgeway (D2513) Fetcham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of The Ridgeway (D2513) Fetcham which extends from its junction with Guildford Road (B2122) to its junction with Ridgeway Close (X8041).

Alternative Route – The Ridgeway (D2513), Lower Road (D265), Cobham Road (D2508) and Guildford Road (B2122) or the same route in reverse.

This Order is required to allow SGN to carry out gas utility works, which is anticipated to be completed within 19 days, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 15 July 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. During certain phases of the works, vehicular access may be restricted. When this is the case, such restriction will apply for no more than eight hours within any 24-hour period, in accordance with Section 3(1) of the Act.

Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.

Various Roads in Walton On The Hill
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. This Order is required to facilitate gas mains replacement works for, or on behalf of SGN.

These works are anticipated to be carried out in 4 phases over 7 weeks between the hours of 8am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 22 July 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. It will not be possible to maintain access through the closure for emergency services, residents and businesses and all vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.

The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2) (a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road above, or accessible only therefrom, may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.

Schedule

The length of Duffield Road (D1118) Walton On The Hill as extends from its junction with (B2220) Walton Street to a point in line with common boundary between No.01 and No.03 Duffield Road.

Alternative Route: Duffield Road, Meadow Walk, Deans Lane, and (B2220) Walton Street, or this route in reverse; (b) That length of Ebbisham Lane (C55) Walton On The Hill as extends from its junction with (X25157) The Barnyard to its junction with (B2220) Walton Street.

Alternative Route: (1) Ebbisham Lane, Hurst Road, Hurst Lane, Church Lane, (B2033) Headley Common Road, (B2032) Dorking Road, and (B2220) Chequers Lane; (2) Ebbisham Lane, Hurst Road, Hurst Lane, Church Lane, (B2033) Headley Common Road, (B2032) Dorking Road, (B290) New Road, (B2220) Mere Road, and (B2220) Walton Street; (c) That length of Walton Street (B2220) Walton On The Hill as extends from its junction with (D1118) Duffield Road to its junction with (C55) Ebbisham Lane.

Alternative Route: (B2220) Walton Street, (A217) Brighton Road, (B2032) Dorking Road, (B290) New Road, (B2220) Mere Road, and (B2220) Walton Street, or this route in reverse; (d) That length of Chequers Lane (B2220) Walton On The Hill as extends from its junction with (D1120) Queens Close to its junction with (C55) Ebbisham Lane.

Alternative Route: (1) (B2220) Chequers Lane, (B2032) Dorking Road, (B2033) Headley Common Road, Church Lane, Hurst Lane, Hurst Road, and Ebbisham Lane; (2) (B2220) Chequers Lane, (B2032) Dorking Road, (B290) New Road, (B2220) Mere Road, and (B2220) Walton Street.

Redehall Road (C62) Smallfield
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Redehall Road (C62) Smallfield as extends from its junction with (B2037) Keepers Corner and (B2037) Effingham Road to its junction with (X10215) Harts Mead.

Alternative Route - Redehall Road; Weatherhill Road; Smallfield Road; Balcombe Road; Antlands Road; and Keepers Corner.

The Order is required to facilitate new mains electrical connection works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of ALS Civil within the length of road described in this notice.

These works are anticipated to be carried over 2 days between the hours of 8am and 6pm within the 12-month period of operation of the Temporary Order that commences on 25 July 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, the emergency services, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
