(MAP BASED) CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2024 (TRO_101)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council (NCC) has made the above-named Order under sections 1, 2, 4, 32, 35, 45, 46, 61 and 64 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’) Part VI of the Traffic Management Act 2004 and section 21 of the Local Authorities’ Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996.
The effect of the Order, which will come into force on the 24th June 2024 is simply to revoke and then reenact the provisions of Northumberland County Council (Waiting, Loading & Parking Places) (Map Based) 2023 which introduced a digital map-based Order applying to all on-street parking restrictions across the County of Northumberland. There is no change of substance and no other effect save that within the interpretation section the definition of “schedule” has been amended and two additional definitions namely “the maps” and “map based schedule” have been included. An additional explanatory paragraph to the schedule itself has also been included. The purpose is simply to provide clarity.
