What is happening?

LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(THE CAWSEY, PENWORTHAM, SOUTH RIBBLE BOROUGH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council have made an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this notice.
1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle to wait any time on that length of the The Cawsey, Penwortham from Firs Drive, Penwortham, on both sides, for a distance of 15m in a North Westerly direction
2. The prohibition will be operative from 0730 hours on Monday 17th June 2024 until 1930 hours on Friday 26th June 2026 or until completion of the works within this period. The council is satisfied that the restriction needs to be place for longer than 18 months.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to ensure access
can be maintained for construction traffic while the Old
Tram Bridge replacement works are carried out.
