NOTICE OF MAKING
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(VARIOUS ROADS, BURNLEY, PENDLE AND ROSSENDALE BOROUGHS) (REVOCATION AND VARIOUS MOVING RESTRICTIONS 23-24 (NO1)) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 19 June 2024 Lancashire County Council made the above Traffic Regulation Order under Sections 1, 2 and 4 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to:
1. Revoke the following:
a) "The Borough of Pendle (Urban Safety Project Area B) (Prohibition of Waiting, Prohibition of Driving and One Way Street) Order 1984" insofar as it relates to the one way restriction on Every Street, Pendle, from its junction with Stanley Street to its junction with Albert Street - south-westerly.
b) "The Borough Of Pendle (Urban Safety Project Area B) (Prohibition And Restriction Of Waiting, Prohibition Of Driving And Revocation) Order 1985" insofar as it relates to the Article 4.
c) "The Borough Of Pendle (Urban Safety Project Area A) (Prohibition Of Driving) Order 1985" insofar as it relate to the prohibition of driving in Beech Street, Nelson, at a point immediately south east of its junction with Elm Street.
2. Introduce a 7.5 tonne weight restriction except access in the following length of road:
a) Clegg Street, Burnley, for the entire length;
b) Chatterton Old Lane, Edenfield, for the entire length.

This Order will come into force on the 24 June 2024. A copy of the Order, and all other relevant documents may be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of Burnley Borough Council, Town Hall, Manchester Road, Burnley, BB11 9SA, and at the offices of Pendle Borough Council, No1 Market Street, Nelson, Lancashire, BB9 9LU, and at the offices of Rossendale Borough Council - One Stop Shop, The Business Centre, Futures Park, Newchurch Road, Bacup, OL13 0BB, and at the offices of The Director of Law and Governance, Lancashire County Council, County Hall, PO Box 100, Preston PR1 0LD, and on Lancashire County Councils Website http://www.lancashire.gov.uk/ roads-parking-and-travel/roads/roadworks-and-traffic-regulation-orders/permanent.aspx, quoting ref: LSG4/894.16946/AFR. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Act, or that any requirement of the Act or of any instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
