Westfield Ave - Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic
What is happening?

(WESTFIELD AVENUE, STAINING, FYLDE BOROUGH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this Order.
1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle to proceed over that length of Westfield Avenue, Staining from its junction with Staining Road to house number 2 Westfield Avenue.
2. Nothing in this Order shall apply to persons engaged in the carrying out of the works.
3. The prohibition will be operative from 0800 hours until 1800 hours on Sunday 30th June 2024 or until completion of the works within this period. Access for motor vehicles will be maintained whenever and wherever possible, and for pedestrians at all times.
4. An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is via:
Staining Road – Normoss Road – Whitemoss Avenue
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow works to re-set a manhole frame and cover to be carried out by Network Plus on behalf of United Utilities.
