Temporary Restriction of Vehicular Traffic Order 2024 Westwood Lane, Welling - Notice of Intention

1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that, to enable Highway improvement works byJB Riney on behalf of London Borough of Bexley they intend to make an Order the effects of which will be the introduction of:

  • No Waiting no loading (parking restrictions) as detailed in Schedule one of this order

  • Prohibition of Vehicular traffic in Cambridge Avenue from the junction with Westwood Lane to junction with Yorkland Avenue, Welling

  • Banned turning movement in Cambridge Avenue preventing ingress and egress onto Westwood Lane, Welling

  • Banned turning movement in Hook Lane preventing ingress and egress onto Westwood Lane, Welling

  • Banned turning movement in Clinton Avenue preventing ingress and egress onto Westwood Lane, Welling

  • Banned turning movement in Bradenham Avenue preventing ingress and egress onto Westwood Lane, Welling

2. The Order will come into effect on 8 July 2024 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However; the works are expected to be completed within 5 Days.

3. Whilst the works are in progress alternative routes will be via, Westwood Lane - Wendover Way - Dan son Lane - Welling High Street - Bellegrove Road -Westwood Lane and reverse

Westwood Lane - Northumberland Avenue - Yorkland Avenue - Sutherland Avenue -Westwood Lane and reverse

  • Westwood Lane - Huxley Road - Hook Lane and reverse

4. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.

5. The restrictions described above will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs as prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

The Bexley (Waiting and Loading) (Amendment No. 27) Traffic Order 2024 The Bexley(20mph Speed Limit)(amendment I) Traffic Order 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Bexley have on 24 June 2024 made the above mentioned Traffic Orders under sections 6, and 124 of and Part IV of schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by Section 8 of and Part I of Schedule 5 to the Local Government Act 1985 and all other enabling powers,

1. The general effect of the Bexley (Waiting and Loading) (Amendment No. 27) Traffic Order 2024 would be to:

a) add no waiting at any time restrictions on sections of council maintained highway in Boundary Road, Thistle Close, Arthur Street and The Nursery within the Park East development

2. The general effect of the Bexley (20mph Speed Limit) Traffic Order 2024 would be to:

a) make necessary changes to amend the list of roads in the 20mph speed limit area to include Thistle Close.

Note: these proposals are made in conjunction with a raised feature for the Park East area, detailed on a separate notice.

3. Copies of the Orders which become operational on I July 2024, the corresponding Parent Orders (and any Orders that have amended those Orders), the Council's statement of reasons for making the Orders, and a plan which indicates the length of road to which the Orders relate, can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, at the Contact Centre, Civic Offices, 2 Wading Street, Bexleyheath, Kent DA6 7A.

Persons desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of the day on which the Order were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court

Temporary Restriction of Vehicular Traffic Order 2024 Picardy Manorway, Belvedere - Notice of Making an Order

1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that an order has been made, to enable the modernisation of the traffic signals by Telent on behalf of Transport for London, the effects of which will be the introduction of:

  • Speed reduction from 40 miles per hour to 30 miles per hour, eastbound and westbound from roundabout at junction with Bronze Age Way to roundabout at junctions with Eastern Way and Yarnton Way on Picardy Manorway, Belvedere

2. The Order will come into effect on 1 July 2024 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However; the works are expected to be completed within 33 days.

3. Whilst the works are in progress no alternative route will be required.

4. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.

5. The restrictions described above will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs as prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

The Bexley (Off Street Parking Places) (Amendment No. 1) Traffic Order 2024

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Bexley have on 24 June 2024 made the above mentioned Order under sections 32, 35 and 124 of and Part III and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by Section 8 of and Part I of Schedule 5 to the Local government Act 1985, and all other enabling powers.

2. The general effect of the Bexley (Off Street Parking Places) (Amendment No. I) Traffic Order 2024, would be to further amend the Bexley (Off Street Parking Places) Traffic Order 2020, to a) to amend the parking tariffs in the Council Car parks in accordance with recent increase in charges approved by the Council

3. Copies of the Order which becomes operational on I Jury 2024, Orders amending that Order and the Council's statement of reasons for making the Order, can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays at the Contact Centre, Civic Offices, 2 Wading Street, Bexleyheath, Kent DA6 7AT

Temporary Restriction of Vehicular Traffic Order 2024 Burns Avenue, Sidcup - Notice of Making an Order

1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that an order has been made, to enable laying a service pipe relay including its fitting in carriageway and footway by Clean R&M - East South on behalf of Thames Water, the effects of which will be the introduction of:

* Prohibition of traffic (road closure) from outside 116 to 136 Burns Avenue, Sidcup

* No waiting no loading (parking restrictions) from outside and opposite 106 to 142 Burns Avenue, Sidcup

2. The Order will come into effect on I Jury 2024 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However the works are expected to be completed within 5 days.

3. Whilst the works are in progress, alternative routes will be via,

* Burns Avenue - Portland Avenue - Penshurst Avenue and reverse

4. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.
