THE HARINGEY (FINSBURY PARK FESTIVAL REPUBLIC) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) (ATTRO) ORDER 2024

The Council of the London Borough of Haringey, in consultation with the London Boroughs of Islington, Hackney and Transport for London, under section 14(1) by virtue of sections 22C and 22D Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intend to make the Temporary Traffic Orders described below for a purpose relating to danger or damage connected with terrorism:-

Seven Sisters Road N4, Stroud Green Road N4, Queens Drive N4. Blackstock Road N4

Operational dates

General Effect of Order

Friday 5th, Saturday 6th, Friday 12th and Saturday 13th July 2024 from 21:00 hours until 00:30 hours (+1 day)

and

Sunday 7th and Sunday 14th July 2024 from 20:00hrs until 23:59hrs

To close the following roads as detailed below:

  1. Seven Sisters Road N4 - from its junction with Green Lanes to its junction with St Thomas Road.
  2. Stroud Green Road N4 - from its junction with Seven Sisters Road to its junction with Wells Terrace.
  3. Queens Drive N4 – from its junction with Seven Sisters Road, to its junction Sunflower Court.
  4. Blackstock Road N4 – from its junction with Seven Sisters Road to its junction with Rock Street.

Pedestrian access may also be prohibited at such times as directed by Police Constable or event stewards or security guards employed by a company contracted to provide security for the Finsbury Park events

At events in the UK where large crowds gather it is common practice to implement measures which reduce the risk to the public from any potential terrorist attacks. The implementation of such measures are not an indication that there is any specific intelligence to suggest that there is an increased security risk to the event or the local environs, but are reflective of the current UK national threat level which is at SUBSTANTIAL – an attack is likely.

In consideration of the UK threat level and the fact that Finsbury Park will be hosting concerts, including the Wireless Festival, on 5th, 6th, 7th, 12th, 13th and 14th July, an ATTRO will be implemented on these dates between specific times when there will be large numbers of pedestrians leaving the park. The ATTRO (Anti-Terrorism Traffic Regulation Order) will allow road closures to be implemented to reduce the danger of vehicles to people on foot leaving the venue.

The provisions of the Orders shall apply only at such times and as directed by traffic signs. For road closures, alternative routes will be directed by traffic signs. Access will be maintained where possible. For more information contact 020 8080 1459 or email FinsburyPark.residents@festivalrepublic.com
