Burnby Lane - Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic
What is happening?
THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF THROUGH TRAFFIC
PART OF BURNBY LANE, POCKLINGTON
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the date
of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which
will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along
part of Burnby Lane, Pocklington during the following
period:
Tuesday 16 July 2024 until Wednesday 17 July 2024.
The road closure is necessary to enable Openreach
telegraph pole installation works to be carried out
in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of
the public. The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is
anticipated that the works will be completed within
two days. The alternative route for traffic affected by
the road closure will be via Burnby Lane, New Street,
The Balk, The Balk Roundabout, White Mill Roundabout,
Parisi Way, York Road, Town Street, Burnby Road,
Back Lane and Pocklington Lane.
The diversion route will be signed at the time of
closure. The road will be closed to all traffic but access
will be maintained for emergency vehicles, residents
and pedestrians.
