Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight Council in not less than seven days from the appearance of this Notice, under Section 14 (1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the following Orders: -

The Isle of Wight Council (Adelaide Place, Ryde, Isle of Wight)

(Temporary Road Closure) Order No 3 2024

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one shift between Friday 28 June 2024, and Wednesday 03 July 2024, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Adelaide Place, Ryde, between its junction with West Street and its junction with Adelaide Court Road. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during carriageway repair works.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between Friday 28th June 2024 and Friday 2nd August 2024 the following roads will be closed between either 0800 to 1800 hours or 1800 to 0600 hour for a period of approximately 1 to 3 days/nights within this period, or when the works have been completed, to enable high friction surfacing works and any required pre-works to be undertaken. No vehicle or person may use or cause any animal to use the following roads: and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road where indicated by traffic signs. These works may include carriageway and footway reconstruction, resurfacing works, reflective stud work and lining works. In some cases, it may be necessary to close these sections of roads on more than one occasion within this timeframe. Exact dates, durations and access information will be communicated to affected businesses and residents via letter and on street advanced warning signs before the scheme commences.
