THE A5 TRUNK ROAD (MILE OAK, TAMWORTH, STAFFORDSHIRE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (Company No. 9346363) has made an order on the A5 Trunk Road, at Mile Oak, Tamworth, in the County of Staffordshire, to enable local authority resurfacing works to be carried out nearby.
The effect of the Order will be to close the link road leading from the westbound carriageway of the A5, to the A453 Sutton Road, at Mile Oak.
The closures will be carried in two phases and are expected to take place between 22:00 hours on Tuesday 9 July 2024 and 05:00 hours on Thursday 11 July 2024, and between 22:00 hours on Sunday 14 July 2024 and 05:00 hours on Tuesday 16 July 2024. The Order will come into force on 2 July 2024.
Vehicles being used for police, fire and rescue authority or ambulance purposes and vehicles being used in connection with the works will be exempt from the closure.
A diversion route via an alternative junction of the A5, Bitterscote Drive, Riverside, the A4091 and the B5404.
