Clarendon Park Road - Temporary Road Restriction to Gas Mains Replacement Works

- SECTION 14(1) AS AMENDED BY THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991
THE LEICESTER (CLARENDON PARK ROAD) (TEMPORARY) TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicester City Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be, for the following anticipated period of time to:

Prohibit the movement of all vehicles on Clarendon Park Road between its junctions with Welford Road and with Queens Road from 7.30am on Monday 8th July 2024 until 6.30pm on Friday 9th August 2024.

Diversion route: Welford Road, Victoria Park Road, Queens Road.

Suspend existing one-way restrictions from 7.30am on Monday 8th July 2024 until 6.30pm on Friday 9th August 2024 on the following sections of highway: Fleetwood Road: In its entirety.

Lorne Road: Between its junctions with Clarendon Park Road and with Avenue Road Extension
Lytton Road: Between its junctions with Howard Road and with Clarendon Park Road
St Leonards Road: Between its junctions with Clarendon Park Road and with Avenue Road Extension

This order is necessary due to gas mains replacement works taking place and to prevent the likelihood of danger to the public.

This Order will come into effect on the 8th July 2024 and will continue in force for up to 18 months, or until the order is no longer deemed necessary, whichever is the earlier.

Emergency access will be maintained at all times.
