What is happening?

LEEDS CITY COUNCIL

(Traffic Regulation) (Waiting Restriction) 

(No.14) Order 2015

Amendment No.1 Order 2023 &

(Movement Restriction) (No.12) Order 2023

Leeds City Council has today made the above Orders under its powers contained in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Orders which come into operation on 25 June 2024 is to introduce: 1. No Waiting at Any Time on parts of: Back La New Farnley; Chapel Lane, Farnley, Gamble Hill Dr & Pl, Bramley; Green Hill Chase & La Wortley; Greenthorpe Rd, Armley; Henconner La, Bramley; Kellett Ave/Cres/Mnt/Ter/ Walk Lower Wortley; Lawns La, Farnley; Leysholme Dr, Wortley; Maple Cft/Dr/Fold/Gr, Farnley; Pudsey Rd, Bramley; Queensthorpe Ave, Bramley; Royds La, Lower Wortley; Stonebridge La, Farnley; Tong Rd, New Farsley and Walkers La, Lower Wortley. 2. One Way Traffic flow on: a. Chapel La, Farnley, from Lawns Lane in an easterly direction to Maple Drive (west to east); b. Lawns La, Farnley, from Maple Drive in a northerly direction to Chapel Lane (south to north); c. Royds La, Lower Wortley, from Royds Lane in a southerly direction for 35m (north to south). 3. The revocation of existing items as identified in the draft Order Schedules.

A copy of the Orders together with a plan showing the affected lengths of highway may be requested at troteam@leeds.gov.uk. If you wish to object to question the validity of an Order or any provision contained within it on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirements of the Act or any instrument made under the Act has not be complied with in relation to the Order, you may within 6 weeks from the date of making, apply to the High Court for this purpose.

2023/24 Pedestrian Crossing Scheme Program –

Proposed Traffic Calming Measures – Hyde Park Road,

Hyde Park; Kent Road Pudsey & 

Otley Old Road Weetwood

Leeds City Council proposes to implement the above highway improvements under Section 90C of the Highways Act 1980. 1. A 9m x 6.5m Speed Table to a height of 75mm above the carriageway, at Hyde Park Road, Hyde Park, 1m south its junction with Brudenell Road. 2. A 9m x 7.4m Speed Table measuring Kent Road, Pudsey, 10m north of its junction with Gable End Terrace. 3. A 9m bituminous speed table, to a height of 100mm above the carriageway at Otley Old Road, 4m east of its junction with New Adel Lane.

If you wish to obtain further details of any proposal or to object or make representations concerning it, you should write to Traffic Team, Civic Hall, Leeds LS1 1UR or e-mail troteam@ leeds.gov.uk specifying the grounds on which your objection or representation is made; by no later than 16 July 2024.
