What is happening?
THE BOROUGH COUNCIL OF GATESHEAD
(HEWITSON TERRACE & WOODLANDS TERRACE BACK, GATESHEAD) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Borough Council of Gateshead propose to make an Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Hewitson Terrace No’s 2 - 84 and Woodlands Terrace Back from a point 34 metres south of its junction with Falla Park Road in a southerly direction for a distance of 16 metres. The Order is required to allow works to be carried out to rectify a defective reinstatement. The Order will come into force at 08:00 on the 17 July 2024. The maximum duration of the Order will be 18 months; however the works are expected to be completed by the 21 July 2024. The prohibition will be in place between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 on each operative day of the works. During the works all vehicles (except vehicles associated with the works and emergency service vehicles on duty) will be prohibited from proceeding along the above roads until the works are completed or at such times and to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the display of traffic signs.
During the prohibition there will be a signed diversion in place.
