HYSBYSIR DRWY HYN bod CYNGOR SIR FYNWY, Neuadd y Sir, y Rhadyr, Brynbuga, NP15 1GA (“y Cyngor”) yn bwriadu gwneud Gorchymyn yn unol â’r pwerau a roddwyd gan Adran 14(1)(a) o Ddeddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984:

  1. Daw’r Gorchymyn i rym ar 4ydd Gorffennaf 2024 a bydd yn parhau i fod mewn grym am gyfnod nad yw’n hwy na 18 mis neu nes bod y gwaith y cynigir ei wneud wedi’i gwblhau, pa un bynnag yw’r cynharaf. Rhagwelir y bydd y gwaith yn cael ei gwblhau rhwng 4ydd Gorffennaf 2024 a’r 5ed Gorffennaf 2024, gan weithredu rhwng 09:00 a 17:00.
  2. Mae’r Gorchymyn yn angenrheidiol gan y bydd y briffordd yn cael ei lleihau i lôn sengl gyda’r defnydd o oleuadau traffig dros dro i ganiatáu i MJ Quinn i wneud gwaith Polio yn ddiogel yn y lleoliad.
  3. Effaith y Gorchymyn fydd lleihau dros dro y terfyn cyflymder ar ran o’r A472, Brynbuga, Sir Fynwy.

Gostyngiad yn y terfyn cyflymder o 60mya i 40mya.

Gostyngiad terfyn cyflymder yn dechrau ~50m o’r gyffordd â’r R65 Heol Cas-gwent am ~490m i gyfeiriad y dwyrain.

  1. Gellir enwi’r Gorchymyn hwn fel Gorchymyn Rheoleiddio Traffig Dros Dro A472, Brynbuga, Sir Fynwy, 2024.
  2. Yn sgil Adran 16(1) Deddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffordd 1984 bydd person sy’n torri cyfyngiad neu waharddiad a osodir dan Adran 14 y Ddeddf yn euog o drosedd.

Temporary Traffic Regulation Notice 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that MONMOUTHSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL of County Hall, The Rhadyr, Usk, NP15 1GA (“the Council”) Intends to make an order pursuant to the powers conferred by Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

  1. The Order shall come into operation on the 4th July 2024 and will continue to be in force for a period not exceeding 18 months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that the works will be completed between the 4th of July 2024 and the 5th of July 2024, operating between 09:00 – 17:00.
  2. The order is necessary as the highway will be reduced to a single lane with the use controlled temporary traffic signals to allow for MJ Quinn poling works to take place safely at the location.
  3. The effect of the order will be to temporarily reduce the speed limit on a section of the A472, Usk, Monmouthshire.

A reduction of the speed limit from 60mph to 40mph.

Speed limit reduction starting ~50m from its junction with R65 Chepstow Road for ~490m in a easterly direction.

  1. This order may be cited as the A472, Usk, Monmouthshire Speed Limit Reduction Temporary Traffic Regulation Order 2024
  2. By virtue of Section 16(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 a person who contravenes a restriction or prohibition imposed under Section 14 of the Act shall be guilty of an offence.
