What is happening?
THE NORFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL (OVERSTRAND, VARIOUS ROADS) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING) AMENDMENT ORDER 2024
The Norfolk County Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 on the 17th June 2024 which comes into operation on 26th June 2024. The effect of which is to amend The Norfolk County Council (Overstrand, Various Roads) (Prohibition of Waiting) Consolidation and Variation Order 2011 (hereinafter referred to as the "2011 Order") as set out in Schedule ' and 2 below as follows:-
SCHEDULE1
Delete the following reference from Schedule 1 of the 2011 Order:
Prohibition of Waiting At Any Time
U14293 High Street North-west Side - From its junction with the B1159 Cromer Road to its junction with the U14501 Harbord Road U14293 High Street North-west Side - From the western kerbline of its junction with the U14388 Cliff Road westwards for a distance of 8 metres
SCHEDULE 2
Insert the following references into Schedule 1 of the 2011 Order:
U14294 Carr Lane West Side - From the centre line of its junction with U14293 High Street for 22 metres southwards
U14294 Carr Lane West Side - From the centre line of its junction with C634 Mundesley Road for 17 metres northwards
U14294 Carr Lane East Side - From the centre line of its junction with C634 Mundesley Road for 18.5 metres northwards
U14388 Cliff Road East Side - From the centre line of its junction with U14293 High Street for 8 metres northwards
U14388 Cliff Road East Side - From the centre line of its junction with U14389 Thurst Road for 6 metres northwards
U14388 Cliff Road East Side - From the centre line of its junction with U14389 Thurst Road for 6.5 metres southwards
C634 Cromer Road North Side - From the centre line of its junction with U14275 Pauls Lane for 15.5 metres eastwards
C634 Cromer Road North Side - From the centre line of its junction with U14275 Pauls Lane for 17 metres westwards
U14293 High Street North-west Side - From its junction with the B1159 Cromer Road for 33.5 metres north-eastwards of the centre line of its junction with U14501 Harbord Road
U14293 High Street North-west Side - From the centreline of its junction with U14388 Cliff Road for 11 metres eastwards
U14293 High Street North-west Side - From the centreline of its junction with U14388 Cliff Road for 11 metres westwards
U14293 High Street South Side - From the centreline of its junction with U14294 Carr Lane for 16 metres westwards
C634 Mundesley Road North-east Side - From the centreline of its junction with U14294 Carr Lane for 15.5 metres eastwards
C634 Mundesley Road North-east Side - From the centreline of its junction with U14294 Carr Lane for 16.5 metres westwards
U14275 Pauls Lane Both Sides - From the centreline of its junction with C634 Cromer Road for 19 metres northwards
U14389 Thurst Road North Side - From the centre line of its junction with U14388 Cliff Road for 6.5 metres eastward
U14389 Thurst Road South Side - From the centre line of its junction with U14388 Cliff Road for 10 metres eastwards A copy of the Order, plan and a copy of the 2011 Order may be viewed online at https://norfolk.citizenspace.com/. Copies may also be available for inspection at Norfolk County Council, County Hall, Norwich, and at the offices of North Norfolk District Council, Council Offices, Holt Road, Cromer, Norfolk, during normal office hours, during normal office hours. However, in-office staffing levels have been reduced and viewing online would be recommended. Any person who desires to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in them on the grounds that they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act, or of any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within six weeks from 17th June 2024 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
