What is happening?
THE NORFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL (COLNEY, HETHERSETT LANE) (40 M.P.H. SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2024
The Norfolk County Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, on 18th June 2024, which comes into operation on 24th June 2024. The effect of which will be to extend the current 40mph speed limit along the C182 Hethersett Lane/Colney Lane by 2330m southwards to its junction with the B1172 Norwich Road.
The Norfolk County Council (Colney, Hethersett Lane) (40mph Speed Limit; Order 2021 will become revoked on the date of commencement of this Order and the length of road referred to in the 2021 Order will be included in this Order for clarity and administrative purposes.
Please note that the making of this Order was previously advertised on 10th May 2024. Due to an administrative error, the making of that Order was flawed and therefore we have remade this Order as detailed above.
A copy of the Order, plan and the 2021 Order may be viewed online at https://norfolk.citizenspace.com/. Copies may also be available for inspection at Norfolk County Council, County Hall, Norwich and at the offices of South Norfolk Council, The Horizon Centre, Broadland Business Park, Peachman Way, Norwich NR7 0WF, during normal office hours. However, in house staffing levels may have been reduced and viewing online would be recommended.
