Dartford and Sevenoaks, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

DARTFORD & SEVENOAKS AREAS

VARIOUS ROADS, DARTFORD & SEVENOAKS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & NO RIGHT TURN) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of carriageway resurfacing and associated preparation, finishing and accommodation works, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on Various Roads, Dartford and Sevenoaks, as per the schedule below.

This Order takes effect on or after 3 July 2024 for a period of up to 18 months or until the works have been completed. Planned dates will be published in advance of the works and indicated by signage displayed on site 14 days before they start. This programme is subject to weather and other factors and may therefore change; every effort will be made to keep as close as possible to the programmed dates and duration. Changes will be notified locally and signposted on site.

SCHEDULE

Dartford

A2026 Burnham Road, Dartford

Works starting 3rd July 2024 for 3 nights (excluding weekends) working hours will be between 20:00 and 05:00.

The above road will be closed A2026 Burnham Road Roundabout junction of the A206 Thames Road/Bob Dunn Way.

Lane closures with partial roundabout Closure and diversion. No right turn from the A206 Thames Road into the A2026 Burnham Road.

Traffic heading east from A206 Thames Road turning right into the A2026 Burnham Road will be required to follow diversion via the A206 Bob Dunn Way (Eastbound), A206 Bob Dunn Way (westbound) onto the A2026 Burnham Road.

SEVENOAKS

B2026 Mont St Aignan Way, Edenbridge

Works starting 17th July 2024 for 6 nights excluding weekends, working hours between 20:00 and 05:00.

The Above Road will be Closed between Tekram Close and Stangrove Road.

The Primary diversion route for light vehicles heading in northern and southernly directions will be able to do so via High Street (Edenbridge), Station Road and vice versa.

A secondary diversion for light vehicles requiring access between Lingfield Road and Edenbridge Town Centre via Crouch House Road, Stangrove Road and Mont St Aignan Way on to the preliminary diversion route noted above.

HGV’s requiring access to trading estates in north of Edenbridge Town Centre will be escorted through the works site.
