What is happening?

THE KINGSTON UPON HULL CITY COUNCIL

COLONIAL STREET (PART) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of S.14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an Order.

The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person with a vehicle from proceeding along:- Colonial Street outside St Stephens, Kingston upon Hull.

The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during works to provide a new electrical connection to the kiosk.

The alternative route for vehicles will be signed on the days.

The Order will take effect on 23rd July 2024, and may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed between 8am and 5pm on 23rd July 2024 until 26th July 2024.

GROSVENOR ROAD/RICHMOND LANE/LUMLEY AVENUE/VILLAGE COURT (PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 1, 2(1) to (3), 4(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and in pursuance of powers granted by the Secretary of State under Section 74 and Part 2 of Schedule 8 and under Paragraph 8 of Schedule 9 of the Traffic Management Act 2004.

The effect of the Order will be to introduce no waiting at any time along the full length of Grosvenor Road and Richmond Lane (east of Runnymede Lane), and at various locations in Lumley Avenue and Village Court. Daytime prohibition of waiting is also proposed at various locations in Lumley Avenue.

The purpose of the Order is considered necessary to maintain access, ensure the flow of traffic and provide visibility at junctions.

A copy of the draft Order, the relevant plan and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order are available for inspection during normal office hours at the General Reception Area, The Kingston upon Hull City Council, The Guildhall, Kingston upon Hull, HU1 2AA.

If you wish to object or make any representations to the proposed Order, you should write to Legal Services at Kingston upon Hull City Council, The Guildhall, Kingston upon Hull. HU1 2AA (ref: JGO/39800-1496), specifying the grounds on which your objection or representation is made, by no later than 15th July 2024.
