What is happening?

Manchester City Council Temporary Road Traffic Regulation Order Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Section 14 (As Amended)

Notice is hereby given that the City Council has made the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):

ORDER NO. MCC138886012: The City of Manchester (Dolphin Street, Ardwick Ward)(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2024 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Dolphin Street From Higher Ardwick to Dalberg Street. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Hyde Road, Higher Ardwick and Vice Versa. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate a crane lift.

It is expected that the works will be in progress from 23rd June 2024 to 7th July 2024 between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00. The order shall come into operation on 23rd June 2024 & 30th June 2024 & 7th July 2024 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Notice is hereby given that the City Council has made the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):

ORDER NO. MCC138669995: The City of Manchester (King Street, Deansgate Ward)(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2024 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on King Street from Brown Street to Cross Street. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Brown Street, Norfolk Street, Pall Mall, New Market, Cross Street & Cross Street, Princess Street, Cooper Street, Fountain Street, Spring Gardens, King Street. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate resurfacing.

It is expected that the works will be in progress on the 23rd June 2024 only. The order shall come into operation on 23rd June 2024 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
