What is happening?

Manchester City Council Temporary Road Traffic Regulation Order Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Section 14 (As Amended)

Notice is hereby given that the City Council has made the following Temporary Road Traffic Order:

ORDER NO. MCC139044498: The City of Manchester (Grandale Street, Moss Side Ward)(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2024 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Grandale Street from Viscount Street to Wilmslow Road. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Wilmslow Road, Walmer Street, Viscount Street. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate resurfacing work.

It is expected that the works will be in progress from 25th June 2024 to 27th June 2024. The order shall come into operation on 25th June 2024 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.

ORDER NO. MCC000139044419: The City of Manchester (Wilmslow Road, Didsbury West Ward) (Temporary Closure of Cycle Lane) Order 2024 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit any pedal cycle (and any pedestrian) from proceeding at any time in the following length of cycle lane: Wilmslow Road. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate for digging in the walkway.

It is expected that the works will be in progress from the 24th June 2024 to the 28th June 2024. The order shall come into operation on the 24th June 2024 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
