EAST SUSSEX COUNTY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

The East Sussex (U3118 Hollington Park Road, St Leonards-on-Sea) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Hollington Park Road – from the junction with P3516 Fairmount to the junction with C263 Gillsmans Hill.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C263 Gillsmans Hill – B2092 Harley Shute Road – A259 Bexhill Road – C238 Filsham Road – C664 The Green – U3118 Hollington Park Road.

The Order commences 8 July 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 8 and 11 July 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U6598 Havelock Road, Bexhill) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024 No.2

To allow Southern Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Havelock Road – at the junction with A269 London Road for a distance of approximately 30 metres.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A269 London Road – U6598 St Georges Road – U6598 Springfield Road, Havelock Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 8 July 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 8 and 10 July 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U3224 Ashburnham Road, Hastings) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024 No.2

To allow Southern Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Ashburnham Road – from the junction with U3222 Dudley Road to the junction with U3223 Godwin Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U3224 Ashburnham Road – A259 Old London Road – U3227 Mount Road – U3224 Ashburnham Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 5 July 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 5 July 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U3205 Croft Road, Hastings) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

To allow BT Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Croft Road – from the junction with U3235 Swan Terrace to Torfield School. A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic southbound via U3205 Swan Terrace – U3208 High Street – A259 Old London Road – C551 Priory Road – U3186 Priory Road – U3205 Croft Road northbound via U3205 Croft Road – U3186 Priory Road – C551 Priory Road – A259 Old London Road, The Bourne, East Beach Street – U3208 High Street – U3205 Swan Terrace.

The Order commences 8 July 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 8 July 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U3065 Chichester Road, St Leonards-on-Sea) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Chichester Road – for its full extent.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.

The Order commences 24 June 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 24 and 25 June 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C417 Kings Bank Lane, Beckley) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Kings Bank Lane – from the junction with U6415 Horseshoe Lane to the junction with B2088 Main Street.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U6415 Horseshoe Lane – B2088 Main Street and vice versa.

The Order commences 24 June 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 24 and 25 June 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C19 Bodiam Road, Ewhurst Green) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Bodiam Road – from the junction with C20 Shoreham Lane to the junction with C620 Dagg Lane.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C20 Shoreham Lane – C620 Dagg Lane and vice versa.

The Order commences 26 June 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 26 June 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C368 Rock Lane, Hastings) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023

To allow Southern Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Rock Lane – from the junction with C825 Winchelsea Road to the junction with C22 Butchers Lane.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C22 Butchers Lane – A259 Rye Road, Winchelsea Road, White Hart Hill, Rye Road – U3246 Red Lake Terrace and vice versa.

The Order commenced 14 August 2023 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 25 and 27 June 2024 depending upon the weather conditions. The East Sussex (U3224 Ashburnham Road, Hastings) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

To allow SGN to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Ashburnham Road – from the junction with A259 Old London Road to the junction with U3230 Moscow Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A259 Old London Road – U3227 Mount Road – U3224 Ashburnham Road and vice versa. The Order commences 26 June 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 26 June and 4 July 2024 depending upon the weather conditions. The East Sussex (C706 Broad Green Street, Hooe) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Broad Green Street – from the junction with U7110 Jarmans Close to the junction with U7108 Kiln Lane.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C706 Green Lane – A259 Barnhorn Road – B2095 Top Road – C706 Denbigh Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 24 June 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 24 and 27 June 2024 depending upon the weather conditions. The East Sussex (U3182 Devonshire Road, Hastings) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

To allow BT Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Devonshire Road – from the junction with A21 Cornwallis Terrace to the junction with U3169 South Terrace.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via A21 Cornwallis Terrace – U3181 Priory Street – A21 Cambridge Road – U3165 Cornwallis Gardens – U3178 Cornwallis Terrace – U3169 South Terrace.

The Order commences 25 June 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 25 and 26 June 2024 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (C212 Perrymans Lane, Brightling) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

To allow South East Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Perrymans Lane – from the junction with C603 Sheepshaw Lane to the junction with C212 Kings Hill Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via C212 Kings Hill Road, School Hill – A265 High Street, Paygate, Heathfield Road, Pooks Hill, Slutts Well, Heathfield Road, Burwash Road – B2096 Battle Road, Cade Street, Battle Road, Earls Down, Carricks Hill, Battle Road, Woods Corner – C18 Brightling Road – C212 Observatory Road, Perrymans Lane and vice versa.

The Order commences 24 June 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 24 and 28 June 2024 depending upon the weather conditions. The East Sussex (U3208 High Street/U3210 Courthouse Street, Hastings) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

To allow BT Openreach to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following lengths of road;

Temporary Road Closures

High Street – from the junction with U3205 Swan Terrace to the junction with U3210 Courthouse Street.

Diversion via U3208 High Street – A259 East Beach Street, The Bourne – U3210 Roebuck Street.

Courthouse Street – from the junction with U3208 High Street to the junction with A259 The Bourne.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.

The Order commences 26 June 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 26 June and 2 July 2024 depending upon the weather conditions. Menzies Road – from the junction with U3065 Chichester Road to Century House. Diversion via U3065 Menzies Road – B2159 Battle Road – C664 Sedlescombe Road South – U3065 Ponswood Road, Theaklen Drive and vice versa.

Theaklen Drive – from the junction with U3065 Menzies Road to the junction with U3065 Drury Lane.

Diversion via U3065 Menzies Road – B2159 Battle Road – C664 Sedlescombe Road South – U3065 Ponswood Road, Theaklen Drive and vice versa.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.

The Order commences 27 June 2024 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier.
