VARIATION OF RETAILERS’ AND TRADES’

PERMIT PARKING CHARGES NOTICE (NO. 16) 2024

The City of Edinburgh Council in exercise of their powers under Section 46a of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, by Act of Council of 22 February 2024 have varied the parking charges set out in;

a) Schedule 6, and applying to pay & display, permit and shared use parking places in the roads within the zones listed below, as depicted on the relevant map tile and payable in terms of, Part 5 of the City of Edinburgh Council (Traffic Regulation; Restrictions on Waiting, Loading and Unloading, Stopping and Parking Places) Designation and Traffic Regulation Order 2018. The effect of the variation will be to amend the charges set out in Schedule 6 in the pay & display, permit and shared use parking places depicted on the relevant map tile, or

b) Schedule 10, and payable in terms of, Part 5 of the Corporation of Edinburgh (Traffic Regulation; Restrictions on Waiting, Loading and Unloading and Parking Places) Traffic Regulation Order 1973. The effect of the variation will be to amend the charges set out in said Schedule 10 in the parking places referred to in the said Schedules 4, 5 and 6, as follows-

In the Parking Places provided in the Roads listed below

i)  the retailers’ permit charge, for the use of the permit and shared use parking places, will decrease from £595.90/ year to £570.10/year. The refund rate will decrease from £47.67/whole month to £45.61/whole month remaining on the permit.

ii)  the trades’ permit charge, for the use of the pay & display, permit and shared use parking places, will decrease from £161.90/month to £154.90/month or £1,684.40/year to £1,611.40/year. The refund rate will remain at £107.00/ whole month remaining on the permit.
